Anyone else in the Dollars really excited for the second Final Fantasy XIII? It seems like its going to be awesome and I also heard its going to be a lot less linear like the first one was. I read up on it in game informer and it looked sweet!

I love all Final Fantasy games and I loved Final Fantasy XIII, kinda hoped they leaved it there but they decided to make the sequel. I've read and seen many spoilers of it and it doesn't look bad. The only I thing I don't like about it it's all the multiple endings. I think they should had just stayed with one ending instead of making a bunch of them. Sure it gives you more challenges to complete everything so you can get a certain ending but I dunno...let's just see how it goes.

@Rizaya Exactly, Sazh was such a great character and so far I haven't seen anything with him around; And while Fang and Vanille are mentioned in the game and showed at times, I don't think they get much screen time either. Fang's one of my favorite characters. ;___;

I don't think they are including Snow that much either. Instead they have Serah hanging out with this other guy named Noel haha. But I guess we will see when it comes out.

Thi game actually feels more like a Final Fantasy game than the last did, oddly enough. Same goes for every game down to 10. X-2 sucked. 12 sucked, 13 sucked. But oddly enough, this gives off that Final Fantasy vibe. Feels like they are going back to old school ways.

Good story, good music, good characters. The newer stuff didn't have it, and for some reason this just seems like the characters are not much the same as in the previous one. Any old school gamer will know what I mean.

@Thiamor lol, I am an old school gamer, I adore all Final Fantasy games. Sure some of them aren't entirely perfect, and I see your point. But I try to overall enjoy all Final Fantasy games even if they "suck" in your way to put it. I do miss the old times of Final Fantasy but nothing ever stays the same way, does it? The only thing I don't seem to like about this new one is the multiple endings and the missing of some characters. And if you ask me. I liked the characters of the first part. All of them has story behind them and a reason why they all got together for one focus instead of just throwing a bunch of random people to fight things. Anyways, I guess I'll find out more when this game comes out.

XIII's story wasn't really something that appealed too much to me. the premise and underlying themes behind the story were superb, but i feel some parts of the game were drawn out while others were rushed, if that makes sense. i'm probably going to go back and plat it because the gameplay wasn't bad and i enjoy (until i get owned, lol) the tactical aspect of it. At first, i was dreading that they were coming out with XIII-2, because it seems gimmicky to me at this point, but if it really does have that more "old school" feel of I-X, as claimed by Thiamor, then i will most definitely picking it up

Kingdom Hearts is less important than Final Fantasy games as Final Fantasy was the only game to actually get Square known. FF1 was the game that made them not have to claim bankruptcy.

Time Travel Map looks Fun.Romances are shattered and new ones bloom possibly judging by Noel and Snows conflicts around Sarah.(Lets face it,snow looks scraggy while Noel looks hot now)Though i have a feeling Noel is related somehow...
And really the game just looks BETTER than the first.Timetravel always thickens the plot,not to mention the ...replay value.*snort*(Time Travel Pun intended)
PS,Kingdom Hearts 3 rabid waiters....Dont get disapointed about it being delayed.More Enix games opens the possiblity for MUCH more Final Fantasy characters...as well as disney characters to keep the formula balanced.

One of the funnest games I have ever played. In my opinion it had a great story and characters. I also liked how you could capture/collect monsters. Also I felt they kinda pushed/forced you to use monsters with some of the roles such as the synergyst role and not as much the saboteur role. I can't get the Down Loadable Content (DLC) because i'm using my sister's PS3 and the fact that I have no money. The graphics of course were amazing. I just wished the DLC didn't cost money. Other than that fantastic game it was. Fantastic indeed.

argggh! i really want to play this game! i don't have xbox nor ps2. i could only play at my sis's house (she had xbox.) and of course i can't go to her house everyday. probably only on weekends.
have play first episode. it's really a good game. nice graphic, battleplay, characters. the only thing i dislike is serah's outfit. i just think that that kind of outfit would be so uncomfortable to move, especially fighting with that kind of outfit.

So I played this game and right now I'm at the end, and truth be told some parts of it is fun but this is far from a quality Final Fantasy game.
One thing being the "all over the place" plot they threw in with the all over the place time traveling aspect, which didn't do it justice.
The plot seems forced, and rushed, and while they tried to make it not so linear, it still kind of is.

Honestly, with all the time and annoying tedious stuff you have to do in the games, I got a little tired of them, but I still love the story and music and everything so much. So instead of buying and playing Lightning Returns, I just watched the cut together movie version on Youtube. :)
