So I just restarted Final Fantasy 10. Kinda curious on people's thoughts on this game. I for one find it fantastic (no pun intended).

2 Name: Tephlon : 2011-11-24 20:50 ID:LpxmcjWl [Del]

Final Fantasy 10 has always been my favorite. it's got an emotional intensity that just can't be said for the others.

3 Name: SolSan : 2011-11-24 20:52 ID:ANQhAIvI [Del]

It's like playing an epic movie!

4 Name: Seika Chugo !!dZlEviJU : 2011-11-24 21:27 ID:rbeaU2wp [Del]

I absolutely LOVED this game. Its one of the few turn based games I enjoy (I usually get bored of the battles if its turn based).
It was my first Final Fantasy game too :3

5 Name: Duck of Cluck : 2011-11-25 01:21 ID:jdXg/5ZW [Del]

It truly is fantastic, usually hangs around my third favorite in the series ^^ I don't think there's another game out there with as much raw emotion as this one. The visuals were stunning as well for the time it was released and even now the cut scenes and design are jaw dropping. The only criticism I have for this game would be it's battle system. Don't get me wrong, I love a good turn based rpg; It just seemed much too slow for my tastes. It made the already dreadful grind even less bearable and at times didn't seem worth the wait. Anyways, keep at it and I hope you don't cry nearly as much as I did at the end~

Really? no other post for this game? this surprises me. anyways, this was NOT my first FF game, but i really enjoyed this one more than all of the other FF games that i have played. currently working on FF7 and FF13, so we'll see if it stays that way

7 Name: Asterisk : 2011-11-25 02:18 ID:HNmq99/1 [Del]

This was my first Final Fantasy game, and I loved every moment of it. I cried at the end, though.

8 Name: Sleepology : 2011-11-25 09:16 ID:62Mo4A28 [Del]

This was the only one i played besides part of x2 and XII, and i loved x. Never beat it though haha

9 Name: Kumo !NC09qbtR1Q : 2011-11-25 14:06 ID:9177hRkI [Del]

>>8 lol, same here. got to the last boss and RQ'd let somone else use it, or i would have beaten it by now.

10 Name: SolSan : 2011-11-25 14:39 ID:ANQhAIvI [Del]

I got like 11 hrs in and then quit because my people sucked. I restarted it and now I love it!

11 Name: Kumo !NC09qbtR1Q : 2011-11-25 15:21 ID:9177hRkI [Del]

>>10 lol. this is why i like the later ones, XP transfers over to all characters

12 Name: SolSan : 2011-11-25 15:54 ID:ANQhAIvI [Del]

And 10 pretty much forces you to use everyone. It's sweet!

loved this game.
the end made me cry.
x-2 made me nostalgic.
great storyline

this was my first FF and its on my faves list along with 12 and 7 (i hated 13, looking forward to 13-2)
My sister took her's when she went off to collage, so we only had 10-2 (love the battle system just as much). I told my mom "I need 10!" we have the game, and even without the guide (which i kinda [really] want [badly]) It's awesom. I'm excited for the remake enix is doing on it :D

15 Name: Kumo !NC09qbtR1Q : 2011-12-15 14:00 ID:2W2s3DhZ [Del]

>>14 enix is doing a 10 remake? god damn. i was expecting a 7 remake before 10. not that i'm not excitied, if it's true, it's just unexpected.

16 Name: Seika Chugo !!dZlEviJU : 2011-12-15 14:32 ID:rbeaU2wp [Del]

I don't get why there would be a need for 10 to be remade; I get that it's gonna be for the PSP Vita and the PS3, but I honestly don't see why 10 is getting a remake. (not complaining, and I'll likely get both, but its just odd is all)

I hope they don't change too much of it in the remake (as alot of remakes end up with changes for better or worse -hopefully better-)

17 Name: Shea !A3eK/z6hmc : 2011-12-15 14:47 ID:0uGAJxLK [Del]

Completely forgot I even had this game until I saw this thread.

Though people give it a hard time (Mainly because of Tidus'... personality quirks), I still found it to have a memorable story and somewhat well-rounded characters.

If you can get a hold of the original game I reccomend playing it.

Or you can just wait for the remake. ;3

18 Name: Thiamor !0UZD1OR/j. : 2011-12-15 20:08 ID:yuzadCfc [Del]

It's just being redone in HD and re-released on the PS3 and PSP Vita. Nothing will be changed. 7, will be, more than likely, remade for the PS4 and not the PS3, and because most likely, the whole original staff and crew will be free from potential work.

That is the only reason that they hadn't done so earlier, is because they stated it'd take a long while for the original team to be back together. Also the PS4 has started production since the moment that they released the PS3. So it should be done in the next 1-4 years or so.

FFX was agreat game. X2 sucked though.

22 Name: RahSollest : 2011-12-18 10:19 ID:FIf9/2h1 [Del]

I think it's still the best game I've ever did played ^^ although I'm terrible at playing Blitzball and having some trouble finding the "whatchyamacallits" that you can summon, only had five at that time and you might know what they are. :P

*sighs* I regret trading this game in...think I'm gonna get it again soon. ^^

The onlt Final Fantasy game that I've beaten. Good puzzles, nice combat system, crappy final boss. Can't really complain. And the ending, real tearjerker.

OMG beat the game it was a sad ending though i beat FFX-2 it had an awsome ending it has Yuna and Rikku and new characters

27 Name: Thiamor !yZIDc0XLZY : 2011-12-21 13:19 ID:Ud19Ppvp [Del]

We know what X-2 had. This isn't about X-2. This is about them remaking FFX (10) for the PS3. Which they ARE doing it. They should be just doing an HD remake for the PS3.

28 Name: mesirel : 2011-12-22 16:49 ID:ZA3/YUaf [Del]

i love this game and the characters, unfortunately though iv been stuck on seamor flux when you fight him by the cliffs after he wipes out the ranso for like a year, i feal like im realy realy close to the end, but auron is the only one who survives long enough to do serious damage and thats just cause his current armor does auto phoenix down

29 Name: Seika Chugo !!dZlEviJU : 2011-12-22 16:52 ID:rbeaU2wp [Del]

>>28 Oh god, I hated that fight. You gotta train like crazy for that battle.

>>29 yeah, but the enemies there go down so easily that its hard to get psyched about training there, the only enemy that realy can hurt my guys are the robots and rikku (please dont blame me if i got the name wrong) insta kills them with steal or mug or some power like that

i turned to youtube for some strategy for beating him but all the ones i found were from people with new game plus's that had filled sphere grids, so now i train when another game makes me mad... i got a lot of training in when i played FFXIII lol

Have you tried walkthroughs? I followed a walkthrough and beat the final boss incredibly underleveled (and now I can't figure out how I even did that so I'm having trouble beating him again. Guess I just gotta start over, now)
haha good plan

34 Name: mesirel : 2011-12-22 17:19 ID:WGwuuSuh [Del]

unfortunately im kinda stubborn, and this thing between me and him became realy personal after how long it took me to beat him the first time when he had a summon so i kinda want to kill him my way, but in a few months ill probably give up and take your advice :)

35 Name: Seika Chugo !!dZlEviJU : 2011-12-22 17:22 ID:rbeaU2wp [Del]

And theres one upcoming fight with him that was incredibly fun (at least I found it fun)

You need to focus training people to protect against status effects and elemental damage, and then train your people with magic, to have strong magic. He is always someone that you have to fight with magic against.

This was my favorite FF game, right next to VII. (say what you want about VII and whether it's overrated or not, I grew up with it)

Anyway...The moment "To Zanarkand" started playing was when I got hooked on the game. The music, story and characters were all superb, and if they are in fact remaking it, then I am definitely looking forward to it.

Tidus's hair was BLACK in the beta version O_O;

OH,VERY INTERESTING FANFIC I FOUND RECENTLY.
Someone managed to connect Naruto with Final Fantasy X.
THe explanation was sound.During the 4th shinobi war,due to so many people dying while kabuto was constantly bringing dead people to the land of the living, the border between life and death became screwed up resulting in how the pyreflies and other lost souls in Final Fantasy X just dont naturally cross over.
Really its a very good answer to how the heck that works...And if the Naruto world got wiped out,TIdus's world could have built up in its place overtime. Finally SIN would be the explanation for so many feinds in yuna's time.

Another interesting thing mentioned in a Final Fantasy fanfiction(This time Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10)...
A character was traveling THROUGH the video game storylines. In 7,when he finds Gil in a monsters stomach,he learns from tifa, the monsters seem to simply like eating it,along with anything else.(This definitely explains alot...and i mean ALOT)
In final fantasy 8 ,Rinoa quotes to him "Its not like monsters carry Gil around."This explains the lack of gil from them in this game and why u get a SEED payment since ur character obviously has no normal job. That fanfiction didnt continue any further since its incomplete.

PS,hopefully if they remake final fantasy 8, they will put in a side job system...

Seriously, killing plant monsters to trim a mans yard in a "Wild Hedges" Job Quest would be fun and easy. Maybe even some boss monsters for a job. Capturing Monsters, ect.

A VERY nice sidequest in a final fantasy 8 fanfiction was where Squall had to figure out how it worked and destroy a Dollet Magic Creation Plant. Normally the Magic expells from Draw Points around the world or is drawn from Monsters who contain the ability to grow their own magic unlike humans. The Dollet magic Plant exploited this using captured monsters and having Dollets nearby GARDEN Seed members that were secretly working for them use their GFs to DRAW from the monsters and simply store in artifical draw points that dont produce their own magic.

Another bright idea was a reason why Final Fantasy 8 members seem to have such memory trouble.THe GFs,duh. A way to avoid this, sort through their memorys and knowledge, containing it in a confined space in their mind, leaving open space for the GF to inhabit.

PS,the GF is usually the mystery voice that talks to you.

I have a poll for people.

Tidus. What's your opinion on him?
I've seen mixed opinions on him. Some love him, others find him incredibly annoying.
I really like him as a main character.(Also, he is beautiful. Yuna is a lucky lady). What about you guys?

59 Name: Rather Concerned Citizen : 2012-03-27 10:25 ID:/lw21Zll [Del]

I love it; it's definitely one of my favorite games of all time. The story is original and I love the romance between Tidus and Yuna. Unfortunately I've never finished it because someone stole my copy of it along with my PS3 (which contained all my save files) right before I started the final battle with Sin. As soon as I get the money to replace it, I'm definitely going to start a new game.

As for the HD remake, I like the idea of seeing the game in HD, but I'm not so sure about the game using the FFXIII battle system. I know that they were talking about it at one point; and while I do think that it would be fun to play it in that style, I think that it would be better if they left it the way that it is.

60 Name: Seika Chugo !!dZlEviJU : 2012-03-27 10:37 ID:rbeaU2wp [Del]

>>59 I haven't heard about that.
I heard they were keeping everything the same except for a graphics update.
There's only one addition I hope they'll add, and that's to restart the game with a finished file and all your items.

Also, good luck getting your game back, that really sucks.
(The end will make you cry. It always does.)

61 Name: Rather Concerned Citizen : 2012-03-27 10:45 ID:/lw21Zll [Del]

>>60 To be honest I'm still not entirely certain that they were going to use the FFXIII battle system, but I do remember hearing that at one point. I can't remember when I heard it though, I might have heard about it when the idea of a remake was still entirely speculation.

And thanks for the good wishes, I've gotten over most of the frustration of having my games and systems stolen, but it does still bum me out occasionally. It's always nice to hear words of support.

62 Name: Seika Chugo !!dZlEviJU : 2012-03-28 10:10 ID:rbeaU2wp [Del]

>>61 Not sure. According to this http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1218011p1.html
It's more of a remaster than a remake, so they might have changes in store.
I hope they keep the battle system though. I love X's battle system :c
Guess it's just something we'll have to see when it gets released.

No problem. I know what it's like to lose a ton of data or games you've been working on. (I've lost more data due to my carelessness than anything. I did have one game stolen though.)
I can only imagine. You'll get em back someday I'm sure :)
Did you file a report? (like to the cops?)

63 Name: Rather Concerned Citizen : 2012-03-28 22:59 ID:/lw21Zll [Del]

>>62 No I actually never called the cops because I didn't feel like they would really be of help. Because of a unique situation, we weren't able to have any kind of insurance, so we knew that there was not much reason to file a report; as there was no way to collect any kind of insurance money for compensation.

The worst thing, though, is that I live in a very small neighborhood in the middle of nowhere; and since there are only 3 or 4 houses there, I have a really good idea of who did it. I'm still not sure, but there is a family that pretty much hates everyone else for no reason, and that family is also comprised of career criminals. To top it all of, one of the family members had recently gotten out for probation when it happened, so I think it's reasonable to assume that it's them.

Unfortunately "probably" isn't enough evidence to warrant an investigation or a search of their house, so I'll never know to be sure (also pretty sure that they stole things that they wanted for personal use) and that's really why I didn't call the cops. I did hear that he got in big trouble while on his probation, so I imagine that he'll go back to prison for quite awhile. It's just a shame that he hasn't learned anything from his past mistakes, and that he shows no compassion for others.

>>63 Well you know how prisons are. They're better than homeless shelters.
Why would anyone learn anything form it, American prison seems like nothing but a joke. I mean they even have cable tv, shelter and 3 meals a day. There are working Americans don't even have that!
I'm really not surprised he didn't learn anything; apparently, you do something wrong in this country and they give you free basic living conditions plus cable (and whatever else I don'y know about). In all honesty, if I went to a prison like that, I'd end up back there in a week because I didn't want to work.
It's ridiculous that our tax money funds this.

That really does suck though. Oh, but if you do file it stolen, if they ever get busted for something, and they find it in their house, couldn't they return it to you?

Have your power hitters aim for the arms, while you have your healer keep things like poison off of you, and heal you, speed you up if you have it, and use Black magic to attack the head.

When the Arms die out, if you have those overdrives saved up, use them on the head. Also kill off whatever heals everything on it.

Then keep power hitting it, and using your Black magic.
