Your Perfect Game?? (13)

1 Name: Tommy : 2011-09-28 20:03 ID:haVjwVae [Del]

If you had a chance to make a game that you yourself would consider perfect, what features would you include?

You can use any anime, music, book, movie, history, etc. influence

For example: Dynasty Warriors ( just an example, i know its already out there) is influenced by ancient chinese history

the game can be original or a game thats already out there, or in works, what features would you add to make that game better or more enjoyable to you?

My perfect game, as of now, is a game based on ancient history, Maybe Europe, or Asia's.
It'll be a hack and slasher like Samurai/Dynasty Warriors,
i'll add features that'll allow the player to create warriors, upload their own music as battle themes or background music.
Your character can go through its own story mode, where it rise can rise up ranks and make alliances with neighboring daimyo or kingdoms, and the decisions you make, like alliances, executions, battles, affect the story.
I'll also add an online feature, you can battle with other players like in dw7 but you can also do or you can do something completely strategic, you and your allies fight other people and theirs, the goal is to conquer the most land, you fight the same way, but there be one leader and that leader positions where you are, where his warriors are, what strategies you take, will you use field traps, like pushing boulders off cliffs to kill large portions of your enemy, basically a simulation of how battles and kingdoms were in ancient Europe or Asia. The battlefielsds will be huge as well, depending of course on where the battle is.
Unlike the koei titles, i'll add blood to help it seem more realistic, also the bodies that you kill actually stay there, if you take damage, like if you get slashed in the arm, there'll be cuts visible, bruises or either your enemy's or your own blood, of course you can control the level of blood and gore from realistic to none at all

that was hard to explain, lol i tried

My perfect game would be an RPG. It would tell the story from multiple points of view. There would be many bonus missions. The battle system would be a more complex version of the Kingdom Hearts play style. Every weapon would have it's own gameplay, making the game more strategic. Characters would have strict limits. As you leveled up, you would see the character grow (change in fighting style, enhanced abilities, etc.) but in the beginning, characters would be extremely limited. The universe would take place in a realistic modern one. Armor and Accesories and Weapons would actually be seen when you equip them and have an effect on gameplay as a whole (characters getting slower, civilians reaction to you, etc.). There would be no infinite bags. You can only carry what you could logically carry (50 potions? Only if you have a backpack to put them in). I would keep the time shift system often seen in videogames. The game would be difficult enough to not be beaten within a day, but easy enough to be fun. Injuries will affect gameplay for extended periods of time. Being seen doing certain activities may have repercussions later in the game. Enemies would get more intelligent, so there would be no spamming and one would have to use logic to defeat an enemy. Also, It would prevent the game from getting boring and just becoming a hack n slash rpg

My perfect game would be a RPG with the gameplay mechanics seen in Tales of Symphonia. The overworld would be very Disgaea like, lots of weird yet commonplace features like a bar being run by a zombie hostess whose boss is an immortal thats been around for a few hundred years. The combat would be featured in a sort of Tales of Symphonia based arena combat with a vast variety of unique and quirky abilities specific to each character. The characters would be from my own series that I am working on, each would have their own unique style and weapon choice. One has a set of twin daggers while another character would use her modified iron maiden. The plot would be engaging and try to allow the player to really sink him/herself so far into the experience that they find themselves thinking about nothing but the game all day long. The Villian would be believeable and somewhat pittiable in his cause.

Overall I would just take Tales of Symphonia and re-skin all of the characters, change the plot, and change out the scenery.

ToS is my favorite game. My ideal game... I can't really say. I guess would be like a tales game, but with the battle system of Xillia, where the bosses are as broken as they are.

I think if we could actually become part of the virtual space, then that would be just perfect.

>>7 I have to agree about the battle set up but the thing about re-writing the story is in no doubt from me a NO, not being rude but NO change should be made except for the sequel kind of ruined the first game.

As for my idea of a perfect game in my opinion would be a game based on a dream I had. You first make what your character is going to look like, like the Mass Effect series, and you choose you moral goals, like Fable and ME, as you progress like in most RPGs. The story is of "you" waking up from deep slumber from a capsule on top of a hill. You are not sure where you are, all you can remember is your name is ****** <you pick your name/ name yourself. But as you look around to examine were you are you see other pods, a few are open and empty but there is one which has a girl in it her name is ****** <dub a name. She awakens but doesn't remember anything except she remembers something about a dangerous situation. And so you and her start your travel down hill find a town and the story progresses from there... But mainly as you travel you get to find the few others that were missing from their pods and the all remember something different that all link together. As for the weapons, they are improvised in other words, if it can be swung and hurts your enemy it is a weapon. But there are weapons and armor stores too. You improvise first and it can become useful later.
