So any horror games that you like or made you scared? I've played a lot of horror games.

- Amnesia: The Dark Descent
- Fatal Frame 3
- Which
- Yume Nikki
- Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

My personal favorite is Silent Hill 2, Call of Cthulhu and Yume Nikki for the story and atmosphere.

The ones that really scared me are Amnesia, Penumbra, and most of all, Which. The latter is very short and obscure. I highly recommend this one.

You can also recommend some horror games here if you want, or share some experiences in playing one.

Might not quite be horror, but Metroid Fusion scared the hell out of me multiple times.

Amnisia The Dark Decent

SIREN: Blood curse for ps3 downloadable game. its like the grudge but way cooler and a bunch of zombies. check it out its very good. better than silent hill! 5 star raiting. a japanese game that is now available in the ps store. i play it alot.

Amnesia scared the crap out of me! I also like RE4, although as an action game.

Silent Hill gave me nightmares. Highly recommend 1-4!

Someone said we could share experiences, so... Here's Mine:

The first time I played the original Fatal Frame with my girlfriend, we got to the point in the game where you reach the cherry atrium. Everything looked safe, no shiny camera lights, no weird noises, just pretty trees....

So my girlfriend decides to take out the camera and wander around in first-person mode, to look at the pretty scenery, and take some nature photos. Yes, we're weird.

As she was walking around, she discovered the quick-turn button that rotates you immediately 180-degrees for a back view, presses it, and.....

BAM! A Broken-Neck ghost is almost kissing the camera. No noise, no light, no warning.
It was at this point that my girlfriend shrieked like a little girl and threw the controller -- right into my face. x_x;;

The Fatal Frame series is by far one of my favorite SurHo series. We own 1 through 3, and are planning on somehow getting ahold of the 4th one.

YOU NEED TO PLAY SIREN BLOOD CURSE FOR PS3!!! Ifu want siren for ps2 they have the game for them as well! MUST PLAY!!! its sooooooo friken creepy! it may be zombies but it is so creepy. heres a screen shot of the game. its really good. many people dont know about the game because they play way too much black ops but this is a really goooooooood game. the ps2 siren games are really good too.

there are 2 other siren games for the pc. blood curse is not for the pc but the forbidden siren and the forbidden siren 2 is for pc. it looks just like blood curse and it is a siren game its just they changed the name for the new siren blood curse. forbidden siren 1 and 2 is awsome too. great story, great graphics and great gameplay.heres a picture for the forbidden siren pc horror game.

I have the first Siren game on PS2, but they never put any of the others out in the US.... Always wanted to play them, though.
The first game was.... A different sort of game, but hella fun.

Siren blood curse is a weird game but it has a good scare to it.

dead space is the shit, if you want a suspense where you test your skills as a gamer, and is constantly kicking some space ass, this is your game

Oh my, I have Fatal Frame 2, and it is utterly terrifying... I can barely even play it during the daylight hours, let alon e at night! >.<

However, the Siren series looks interesting, the first was released in the U.S. right. (But the others weren't due to lack of popularity?)

Echo night beyond was one of the scariest games I've ever played. Granted, I don't play many horror games.

My first survival horror game was Resident Evil 2 for N64, the surprises scared the crap outta me!
But my most favorite of all horror games that creeped the shit out of me STILL! Would be FATAL FRAME 2: Crimson Butterfly, That is scary as hell!
