I was just about to make a post on this. It's really worth playing. However you need to get over the fact that you don't gain levels, and replace the hours you wanted to use for grinding levels with hours of farming for equipment. Now whether to buy it or not....I really don't know. I just downloaded it.

I'm absolutely hooked on this game myself, I really wish I had more friends who would play it with me. As it is, I've got a party of 3 sometimes, 2 most of the time, and myself with a bunch of awful NPCs the rest of the time.
some people who'd play this with me consistently would be nice.

It is really frustrating when you go through a really long, tough mission, and you realize you don't level up. you only get some pieces/materials that, at the moment, probably aren't enough to create new equipment.
Also, since the aragami react differently to different weapon types/elements, when you have a mission against two "main" aragami, chances are the 'ultimate' weapon for one, probably isn't very effective against the other.
And there is no 'ultimate' weapon that can slaughter any aragami. The game just doesn't work that way.
But it's totally worth it. The plot doesn't really start to pick up until you get to the BURST storyline. Which is a good 20+ hours into the game...

It seems like a slightly less pretty, monster hunter to me. If you like the monster hunter franchise then you'll probably like this game.

I really love this game! I wish people I knew played it as well, I've been trying to get enough materials to update my Paige N but it's really hard. I don't much care for the lack of levels, but I suppose if you wanted to make a game as real as you could then no levels would make sense. Which I thought was kind of cool~ Maybe I was just over thinking it though.
I've always wondered if some this game would let you play with others who weren't around you, but I never really looked into it. Anyone know about it?

I find it better then Monster Hunter because it actually has a story to it.It does take a while for the actual story to kick off but what hooked me was the opening intro.
