the world ends with you (its a wonderful world in japan) is a game that i believe should be played and loved by everyone.

I recently finished playing that and I'm trying to complete the missions now. I downloaded the soundtrack too.

Such an awesome game!

I loved this game so much! I'm currently trying to collect all the reports. I can't get enough of it oh my goooodddd.

Not a lot of people know about it in my area,I am actually lucky that I got a chance to play it.

I finished this game in like a month it was so amazing...and then I downloaded the soundtrack like a week after...the extras at the end of the game are crazy...I'm not even going to attempt them..

I love this game.. I started playing it like two years ago LOL.
i play it once in a while now... just to get like all the items and pins.
I don't know how to get the last item in the last report! ffssssss

I have already finished the game, though not completely. It has a really nice story plot and I love watching Joshua and Sho Minamoto! ~♥ I also have the exact same image in my laptop, although it was released by Square Enix...

The World Ends With You was definitely a great game. My love for it has been renewed ever since hearing that Neku will appear in Kingdom Hearts 3D. I liked the combat system, loved the characters, and its presentation overall was very nice. It's among the more memorable games I've played - and among the few that I have a hard time writing crossovers for. I'm looking forward to more TWEWY in the future!

>>54 I think it is. It brings out the full functionality of the DS instead of just one or two touchscreen commands like other games. It uses the mic, the keypads everything.
The story is well written as well and very unique and the characters are well developed; brillant music collection, and as expected from a Tetsuya Nomura game, very attractive looks wise and creative to the max. And you don't need to restart to play through it after you finish. You can choose to play through your favorite days/episodes.

It is a shame that it's not more popular though. For the most part it got a 9.0 rating, though I've also seen it with a flat out 10 on certain sites way back when it was first released.

This game was SOFUCKINGGOODITMADEMYDICKROCKHARD!! Sucks that it was more of an Indy game though, only people that like played kingdom hearts or final fantasy games played it. Hopefully it will get more hype after appearing in the upcomming KH game and they could make a sequel. The secret ending for the game set it up for a sequel so it would be disappointing if it never came out :(

The World Ends with You cast will be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. I am sad to say though, I didn't really pay much mind to this game until I saw Neku, so I thought this game wasa big deal. Turns out TWEWY is. I recommend it to everyone.

One of the best games of all time, probably. When you bring together a beautiful soundtrack, memorable characters, fantastic art, well-written plot, and innovative and streamlined game mechanics, it becomes a recipe for absolute win.

I love this game so much. It's high up on my list of favorite games even.

The Cinematic, physically, aren't that good but its aesthetic value is is really different from other game cinematic. Maybe I'd play this again but this time in real DS... (I had played it only in emulator. -_-)

The games themselves are great, but they're so complicated it kills me. I mean, Ventus is Venitus but he's not and they're both Sora but not, and Xion is technically Sora and Kairi, but is in love with Roxas who is another part of Sora, (so he's a narcissist lol) GAH. SORA, WHO EXACTLY ARE YOU.

I understand why they make it so complex, because it's more realistic and shit, but GFFFRRRRRAAAAA I haven't played BBS or 358/2 days so it's all from what my buddies told me, but WTF, at least make it easier to follow xD

Though I'm sure there's some basis to the real world as to why they're in there since it is a dream, and dreams stem from truth. (Also, considering that people you see in dreams only appear after you've seen them in real life even if it was only for a second, it brings out possibilities of them appearing somewhere else in another game under similar circumstances, since Sora must've seen them before (or it may be foreshadowing) IF of course Nomura used that thought. There are so many possibilities or explanations you can think of, I can't wait to see the game in it's entirety x3)

The World Ends With you is full of damn Skyscrapers and Eearly lit modern buildings....so is KH2's world that never was...its just lot darker now being closer to he realmof darkness...likely from haing the nobodys base parked...slammed...into it..(notice the castle sts in bigass crater.)but really if u remove the gloom the enviromentsare very similar.

I still say that Kh2 World That Never Was is TWEWY.Every character in the game has an origin world.Organization 13 used to be part of Radiant garden.Terra,Aqua and others were from what is currently castle Oblivion. Sora andgang the destiny isles.Ect.Th only exception to this rule is Finl Fantasy charaters.It would be easy.to.say that TWEWY simlly.drifted.or.was.forced.toward.the doors.o.darkness by rhe heartleaa.

This is the first NDS game I played :). This game is wonderful. This game teach me to be grateful for having many nice friends. I loved the gameplay too. It's unique and I never meet it from another game before.

I always figured that because it was so close to Kingdom Hearts and there were so many heartless, that the inhabitants had all been swallowed up or abandoned it because it was simply too dangerous. (It's not like normal folks have a surefire way to really fight the heartless, or any of the enemies really)

But like Takara mentioned earlier, DDD takes place in a dream world (though according to YenSid and Josh in the trailer, the worlds are real worlds and Traverse Town is much like the Traverse Town in COM, where it is the same in many aspects, but different worlds entirely (I know COM TT was a memory, but it helps prove my point)). So considering this, they could have been members of that Traverse Town since the world itself was established.

So that Traverse Town likely exists on a different plane as an actual world instead of just a home away from home like the Traverse Town we've known and loved in previous titles. Same with Mickey being in other worlds while not being King Mickey from DisneyTown.

What is your favorite boss fight? What is your favorite noise? What part of gameplay did you hate the most or have the most trouble with? And/or Who is your favorite character (hero or villain)? And why?

That really does suck! One of my decks consist of like, a bunch of the microphone ones (Which is awkward in a public place. Some of them require you to yell into the mic, not blow, yell).
So like, would that work with an artist's tablet too? Like do all the touchscreen stuff via the tablet? And how do you control both screens? Or do you have your partner set on auto? (;a; so many questions lol)

Also, if you ever get a DS, I would highly recommend playing it on there. It's really fun using the touchscreen and microphone, and everything for it.

So they might as well be. They're being replaced by the game cards. That makes them obsolete technically.
And the older computers work much better than the new ones. They might not be faster; but our old one lasted us 10 years before it broke. New one lasted 6 months. Laptop breaks every few months. It's ridiculous.

And if we do go back to cartridges, we can always have more than one per game like with the discs if the storage is an issue. IF of course the game companies don't get greedy and make you buy each cartridge separately.

Hey guys, there is a group on DeviantArt called the Reaper's Game. It is basically just like the Reaper's Game. It has a Conductor, a producer, and a composer. I downloaded the demo for DDD. They show the cutscene where Sora meets Neku. I gave a fanboy giggle.

This game was perfection for the DS. Only game that made such perfect use of the touch screen.

As of now there are 7 more hours to the SubaSeka countdown. There has been a leak of news saying there would be an iOS release of TWEWY, but one of the localizers for the game called it more of a 'drip' than a 'leak', hinting at a lot more.

Another rumour has it that the next game is set in Ikebukuro, and that Neku is the only confirmed returning character, with the same VA. However, this was unsourced, so take it with a grain of salt.

Saw something about this the other day. I think i might look into it. Love the character designs.

Played this ages ago. My favorite game on the DS. Actually ended up learning quite a lot about Japanese culture in general and Shibuya in particular.

Anyone think that square enix might release a twewy 2?

Easily my favorite stand-alone game of all time. I'm not ashamed to admit that this story made me cry manly tears. The only other non-visual novel game to do that was Disgaea.

Whoever hasn't played this game, play it now!!! story, gameplay, presentation, 10/10 in basically all aspects, a really unique gem of a game.

Honestly love the style and art in this game. Even gets a bit philosophical and dramatic a times, it's like durarara now that I think about it. Maybe the urban-ness is easy to relate to where I come from, Shibuya and Ikebukuro are both in Tokyo and really make me want to go there someday.

Excellent game, i loved it. It has a special effect when you play it, you get involved with the city, culture, fashion, music (love the OST).

This is trully an awesome game.
I really liked the way to play in this one.
I did finish the 3 weeks...
Too bad, the save file wasn't clean and the game froze at the friends menu. Also corrupt data was sometimes a pain.
And the music...really amazing.
It's a game I would absolutly recommend.

I absolutely love this game and the fact that Square Enix actually took the time to branch off from their other main franchises like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Chrono Trigger. It's gameplay is definitely very unique and adaptable, but my only criticism is that it can feel like a sink or swim for many new players who may feel overwhelmed with the playstyle. However it does come with the auto-combat feature for the top screen, but if you want to do post-story side quests with secret bosses and such it's recommended that you know how to control the top screen.
I really enjoy how everything about the game itself is intertwined around it's central theme: expanding your horizons and essentially creating your own world through your own perspective. You discover your own play style by switching up several combinations of pins and you have over 200 to choose from which basically means that you're creating your own unique style of fighting. You even get awarded experience for not playing the game because it's a rewarded for going out and seeing the world xD Plus you get some bonuses for passing by other people in area who happen to be on their DS because that's essentially meeting new people. Overall SE's way of utilizing every aspect of the game to come back to it's theme is very clever and unique. It's a pity that they tend to channel their energies on FF and KH in order to reap more sales but such is business. I only hope that they'll release information on the sequel sometime next year. Until then anyone who's interested in playing the game should just get it on iOS or buy it off of ebay. Unfortunately game stores have stopped selling it and its super rare now.
