Finally bought it last week.

I quite enjoyed and still enjoy playing minecraft. I liked having a world that allowed you to build and allow your creativity to flow.
Of course, this would be AFTER I spent a couple hours in a small hole gathering and storing as may materials as possible!

I play Minecraft every single day. I'm literally ADDICTED to it. LOL. I like playing it to symphonic music (first did it with Zelda 25th Symphony) and it makes it a whole different experience.

I prefer minecraft, because the game is shameless about what it is - You mine things. You craft things. There are monsters, but they aren't really important beyond a few items here and there.

If you want monsters though, there are mods for that.

Terraria is fun to play, but honestly I could never get into it as much as I did minecraft - It feels like it's trying too hard to be both construction and RPG... And construction isn't the same if it's only 2d.

All the other servers I've been trying to use either required a premium account (which I don't have) or a password of some sort. One of the ones I was using said that it required a password and wouldn't let me move around or chat.

Dude, I played it for the first time last night with my friend. We were having fun and stuff then he filled my room with lava and kicked me out, I was all like "Dafaq?!" He said it was my test to see if I can survive on my own, but he really just wanted to watch me die. He should have never gave me that tip that wood is very useful. I survived for 2 day preparing and on the third day decided to go to a dungeon...I was awful, I wasnt prepared at all. So I escape with almost no health left, but its fucking night time so I have to avoid more monsters and stuff...Lets just say it didn't end well. I got chased by everything. That game shows no mercy. Fun though.

I love playing Minecraft! My friend introduced it to me a while ago, and I play it so much now XD I don't know why, but it is just so much fun!

So. I'm trying to make a generator that auto-implodes what you generate so you don't have to waste picaxes getting them into your inventory. I'm thinking of working this by making a bunch of simple small generator that goes upwards. There, there's a platform that has a horizontal TNT generator and the ender dirt that burns forever (which would be annoying to get for survival mode use, but w/e). Problem is, the whole line of TNT will explode. So I'm thinking of having an obsidian generator that intercepts it at a higher piston rate so there's something like 5 obsidian per 1 TNT. I'm not sure how I would position those pistons, thou-

My Maori/Pacific Islander inspired home. Took me about a hour to build.

Instead of windows, I put a two-block thick layer of fences around the middle of the wall. In the day, it blocks out the sun enough so that it isn't too bright, while at the same time allowing enough light through so that torches are not needed.

Basicly, this entire house only needs four torches, and it looks awesome as hell.

This one is of the village at night. By now, I've builta cactus wall with a bridge in the middle to keep mobs out. I have also built two other homes just like mine, which my ftriends live in. I've also added a cobblestone generator, a boat house (by my home), and a shed for all my furnaces.

This one is a close up showing the three huts, although the one on the left is obscured by the shed in front of it.

This one is a Mayan/Aztec inspired Pyramid that I built in the middle of a swamp area.

Although the server is down right now due to various problems, I joined VerinCraft yesterday, which is a really nice cracked survival server. Anarchy, PVP, free-to-grief, free-to-steal, factions, et cetera. I also have no lag problems with it. The age of the people running it worries me a bit, but it's not as bad as it could be. It's got such a huge, active map, though lol I keep getting lost. I finally built a place nearby my faction's spawn X| I wish I remembered where I put that chest of iron and gold. I need it now D: I raided a giant furnace factory and took pretty much everything. I went back, though, because there was a great mine underneath that was full of really good ores. I saw some diamond, but I died of starvation before I could get it. I have no clue where it was now. I happened upon it by chance :x>), so I wanted to make a bad arse build. I decided to build a really tall glass, cobblestone, and lava tower. It's gonna be awesome. I need to get a fuckton of lava buckets, though, as well as TNT. I need to booby trap the shit out of this place. It's gonna be time consuming as fuck, but it'll be worth it in the end, and it will be open for all the faction members (if I'm still in this faction by then) to use. It's going to have a tunnel system underneath to various areas of the map. I'll probably turn the underground into a maze by the end :V I hope everyone will be able to remember their way home lol

Anyway. I'll post pictures with progress once the server gets back up. The basic set up will be this: the dimensions will be 15x15x(however high we end up making it. I don't know the block limit), which will make it so it doesn't take up much ground space but will have plenty of air space. Each level will have a different patterned floor, and the bottom level will have lava under the floor. Also, lava will be in a moat around the build and, if I can get enough lava, it will also be in moat around the build. There will be TNT set up in key points around the building, as well, but will be set far enough away that they can't affect the actual build.

The basic floor plan would be this:

...Just for mining purposes.
...The mine will go all the way down until it hits bedrock.
...At the bottom floor, the only mining allowed would be the web mining (it's normally used to find diamonds).
...You can get into the mining area from the tower, but you'll have to warp back to the tower.
...Any chests found are liable to be confiscated if you're not near them. Hide them well. Chest rules only apply for the upper floors.

...This is for bucket filling purposes only.

...This is for bucket filling purposes only.

...This is to keep intruders out.

...This is the method for getting in/out of the tower.

...This is the moat and giant puddle of lava the build will be resting in.

...This is the main room. Not much to see here aside from a cool floor with lava underneath.

1. Crafting/Public Storage
...This room will have a few crafting tables and a bunch of public chests.
...We have a similar room at the faction house, but I figured it would be nice to have one here, as well, so we don't have to warp back and forth.

2. Furnace Room
...This room will have a fuckton of furnaces and a few chests.
...The chests will have extra signs and coal in them.
...Throw some coal in the furnace and change the sign above the furnace to say your username and you're good.

3. Library/Enchanting
...Obviously, this room will be full of bookshelves and enchanting tables.
...This room will be put together last.

4-15. Public Rooms
...These can be reserved by trusted faction members.
...As long as the stone/glass theme is kept and no floors are broken, they can be decorated as the reserverees like.
...If the earlier reserving faction members donate supplies, they can request a balcony or higher ceiling to be built in with their room.

...This is the main in-tower area of water.
...Water cannot be taken from this area.

Well, Me and my friends built this last night: It's a bomber, bearing the flag of our kingdom.

And yes, it actually drops bombs.

This is the bomb-bay, which drops six TNT at once. The pistons stay out until you press a button, ingiting the TNT and releasing the pistons, allowing them to drop.

I only have PE, so not as much can be done as everything else, but I have a three-story (four if you count the basement) glass house leading to a maze of mines. It has a flying glass tunnel leading to another, less insane mine. I am currently working of another flying glass tunnel leading to an icecap that I will replace with dirt so I can have a floating island. I built a covered bridge completely out of cobblestone and gravel. I also have a tunnel in my basement leading to a green room so I can make bread after about an hour of play.

The only time I ever need to leave my house is to get sand to make glass. And I have only ever had a creeper blow up my house once.

My house is also surrounded by flowers which I planted myself. Bed's on second floor.

Oh! And I have a tower of everything that goes up to the maximum height right next to the boundaries, which makes a glitch I call the infinite boundaries glitch where you can infinitely walk in the endless void of daylight or nighttime.

Well, I'm taking out all of the German-esque flags, and putting in scottish/Gaellic style flags.

The main entrance will have a receptionist desk with a villager. Floors are chiseled stone with elevators as the main way as to getting up, except to get to the pool from B10F.

The platform above the tower is like a compass thing. On the east siea giant netherrack sun, and on the west is an endstone moon.

I swear to god, in the latest update, mobs are A LOT more powerful. The creepers where faster, stronger, and exploded at will.

At. Will. They would run into buildings with nobody inside and explode just to explode.

So I made sure they won't get close again.

Behold! The Maginot Line! Yep, I built the Maginot line by making several bunkers and a netherbrick fence to mark the line. My friend imporved it greatly by suggesting I make deeper trenches and put cobwebs on top. I also added a second layer of fence to prevent from falling in. We will stock them with bows/arrows, and are considering placing a minefield in the front.

Yea, so that Maginot line was shit, so I had to buff it up. This isn't even it's final form!

At the end of the day, the (Front) Line consisted of four layers of fences, cactus walls, several block deep trenches, cobweb traps, and stone bunkers.

The back line was two layers of fence, two lever-activated gates, cactus walls, another seven-block deep trench, a second trench with lava, and a large lava pit, with four fortified bunkers.

I know this server and yeah, it's quite incredible. The first time I went on it I was stunned. The Wall is just magnificent. Well, every single construction is magnificent on this server. Been digging around in the Vox Populi server for about six hours at layers five to eight. Exactly one diamond.

Good thing is, got my McMMO mining skill up to 87 faster than most people do, and have an amount of gold that would normally take players 24 hours to obtain.

I wanna be a dwarf so I can mine better and auto repair my pickaxes, but I have to have played for 24+ hours, and I've only clocked seven or so. Then again, I did get Minecraft premium only yesterday.

Vox Populi is amazing and you should all join the server. It's run by Zombie (Zombiemold) and his girlfriend Latin (latin_goddess). It has so many plugins and custom stuff it's crazy. It has custom terrain and tree generation, custom mobs, blazes naturally spawn near lava underground in the overworld, custom biomes, and Markiplier, along with so much more awesome stuff.

I actually personally saw Wade and Molly today. It was fun.

anyone know of any good seeds for minecraft, ive been searching but most of the sites are blocked here at school. i have a few like: swegworld , qwertyuiop[]\ , 123 , and herobrine. they all make cool worlds like, swegworld will make an inground pyramid and a desert village a few hundred blocks away from the spawn. or herobrine will make 3 desert villages in the same village.

anybody know a good server? I'm dying of boredom and I really wanna get back onto minecraft, but I can't find anywhere to play. I'm just looking for somewhere to build and grow and stuff. Maybe with factions. Whatever's there!

I use to play on a friends, and that's really the only place where I played, but she shut it down after having some.... problems.... now I have no idea what server I should play in.

i play minecraft right now. u am usually on smp or skyblock on the legitplay.net server. though i am working on my own custom server. i am trying to find as many bukkit plugins as i can to make it have as many things to do (without making the gameplay significantly easier) as i can. most of the plugins will be for crafting recipies. my minecraft name it Balrog_Mathias and the name of my prospective server is The Dark Tower. i am using enjin.com to make it if you want to check it out. ^_^v

Logic map for a subway system I'm currently devising. Idea is to have a layout like a typical subway, so at any given end of the station the paths can split both to and from 2 different locations. The big issue is having a cart always ready at each location, I've figured the easiest way to deal with this is to displace the cart waiting at the station upon arrival and switch it off into a retainer below the station, replacing it upon departure of that lines's cart. The big problem mainly is that I've decided get fancy with it and the logic is all over the place. Think I've got it figured out though, my test world is coming along quite nicely.

Go figure I make a vertical track switcher using straight sticky pistons and shit and literally the next day they release the slime block / piston snapshot making it like 5 times easier. Le sigh...

Anyone here play TerraFirmaCraft?

TerraFirmaCraft (TFC) is a huge mod for Minecraft, which is more of a complete rebuild of the game. It is "Survival Mode as it should have been." TFC makes Minecraft far more difficult, but also far more rewarding. It is also much more realistic. For example: You do not begin by punching a tree until it breaks. You actually cannot break trees with your fists. Instead, you have to pick up rocks from the ground and knap them against each other to shape one of the rocks into a tool head. This is something our ancestors did when man first learned how to make tools. At this point, you have your tool head; let's say an axe head for the sake of explanation. So, you have your tool head, but no handle! What do you do? You can't break the tree to get logs to make planks to make sticks, so how do you get sticks for a handle? Well, the realistic way of course! You break the leaves of a tree with your fist, and this results in dropping sticks. Take that stick and your axe head, put them in the crafting table, and voila! You now have a primitive stone axe! Cut that tree from the bottom, you'll notice it is quite slow to break a tree, but don't worry, because when it does break, the entire tree falls!

This is just one example of how TFC is different from vanilla Minecraft, but I feel that the realistic changes make the game far more intriguing and rewarding. If anyone decides to give this a try, I know a good server you could join me on: 185.28.189.138:25850

this game is awesome :3 many did say its lame coz of the concept of the game where its is (graphics and stuff) but doesn't matter me :3 i still played the game especially the HARDCORE mode at PC ^_^ its hard to keep a balance supply of food and item to create stuffs...i hate the creeper it always destroys my house coz i always go hide xD hahaha
