If you havent ever played any of the elder scrolls (mainly morrowind and oblivion), its about time you have started... In the form of an rpg/strategy i do like all the final fantasy games, ffx being my favorite. There is also the star ocean series which is really good.

Yeah, Kingdom Hearts is Disney mixed in with Square (Final fantasy characters) I've never been all that partial to it personally, but it is supposed to be a great series of games.
RPG: Oblivion/Fallout 3 (PC). Both pretty expansive. They're both basically the same games, just with a different setting. In Oblivion you're in a more fantasy type setting, with magic, swords and such - and with Fallout you're in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with more emphasis on present/post-day weaponry.
The Star Ocean, and Shin Megami Tensei series are also great RPG's/JRPGs.
First person shooter: I'd say TF2. (PC) It's not the best game ever, and there's no storyline at all. It's just an all out shooter, with lots of comic relief. Valve brings quite frequent updates to the PC version, and it's lasted a good two or three years now?
Okami is on the PS2 and the Wii by the way.

kingdom hearts was pretty good. i dont believe that it entails the new age story lines that the final fantasy games have, but the battle system is nice. also if you grew up with disney it would be a nice return to the past mixed in with non-gory fighting. the second kingdom hearts integrates forms that you can take that improve your fighting style of a certain type, such as casting or close combat. the second game also uses the triangle button to execute special attacks and sequences throughout the game on bosses and just normal mobs. the games are pretty good, they became greatest hits for a reason. both are for the ps2 (im not a big fan of the portable kingdom
hearts) but its all personal opinion. they messed with the original fighting system. hope i shed a little light on kingdom hearts -_-

for ds? pokemon is a must. new games come out soon. also, if you like urban fantasies, try the world ends with you or shin megami tensei devil survivor. both are personal favorites of mine and very good games, as well as having very good stories and awesome characters.

ELITE BEAT AGENTS - really good rhythm tapping game
The World Ends With You - awesome gameplay, story and especially sound track

I've fell in love with a game called Freelancer a long time ago, and I just recently found out that people were making new versions of the game^^ Sweet surprise.
For anyone who likes space games were you fly around fighting other ships, cool battles, and big explosions, its definently a game for you. Its old so it'll run on almost any computer, but dont worry about me saying its old, its not prehistoric.
