I have played Ragnarok(personal favorite), Maplestory(ugh), tried a whole ton of F2Ps that are not worth mentioning. Waiting for the next gen MMORPGs like Vindictus, Dragon's Nest, C9, Blade and Soul to come out. Divine Souls was graphically pleasing, gameplay lacking, clunky and repetitive. I was hyped for FF14 but heard that the CBT is pretty bad as of now.

My biggest concern about FFXIV is the graphics requirements. I just bought a computer so I'm fine, but all my friends have more or less dropped out... which makes sense since they're asking for Geforce 460 or higher.

I played to 30 on a warrior, and then 30 again as a dark knight sub warrior.
My only issue was how much you had to rely on parties, which was ridiculous to find - I heard this was fixed in 14, so I'm excited.
I heard something about having to be careful about placement when fighting because the monster has "weak points" or something.

The problem with casters was that you either had to go into your spell window and manually select the ability you wished to use (and this goes for melee as well), or you had to figure out how to make a macro for it (which wasn't necessarily hard to do, but it definitely was tedious and the placement of the macro bar was quite a nuisance).
I'd like to see Final Fantasy 14 take combat into a more modern realm where you're actively, and consistently, using your abilities during a fight - regardless of your class. I would also like to see convenient places for these abilities to be used, such as a skill bar or something of the like. I don't want to be forced to macro an ability to be able to use it efficiently and timely. I also feel that if they are planning on returning the TP system from FFXI that they should definitely increase the usefulness of it, whenever I reached max TP as a caster, for example, I'd never feel any degree of excitement - nor did I feel that I had any sort of an edge over whatever I was fighting. TP seemed like a gimmick, and one that was much more useful for a melee class as well. I feel that TP should be just as useful for casters as for melee, and that when you do manage to accrue a large amount of TP you should be confident in knowing that it may potentially save you or a team-mates life.

It seems like they're building it that way, but I've only read the information on the wiki and the site and such.
They had a list of skills up, and it seems much more engaging than FFXI did - I'll admit, not having a whole lot to do as a melee class did kind of wear me out, and I did enjoy black mage a lot more.
...but mages are so squishy :(

The class system is very flexible from what I've heard and read - you can carry over most abilities from other classes to create a truly hybrid character, limited only by the number of skills allowed.
There seems to be another thing about the fighting system I'm not understanding fully, but it seems like you can queue up attacks as a group tactic - it's all stuff I'm going to have to figure out when I start playing. I'm feeling very optimistic about it based on what I've heard, seen, read, etc.
I'm getting it next wednesday probably, hope to see any Dollars there too :)

I'm currently playing AIKA, and it has really cute features such as Pran system and the mounts are unique as well. But this get rather repetative and there are lots of pks around.
Talesrunner is a good game, although you get sick of the repetative exp/TR farming runs. But it has good social networking side to it and a good lite-playing.
The Nexon put out 3 new games, one of them being the water bombing thing... I do not remember the official english title. Yet this is the best strategy game I have ever played, and it is awesome.
And Luna online I have level 57 scout and that's it - GrindOnline.

I just started playing DCUO. You can do a lot for free but after the main missions it requires team ups added to the fact no one in the league wants to team up. you have to pay to start a league and the one I joined, no one's online. I'm willing to start it up agian if someone wants to have a go because I kinda took my avatar down, but it was mostly the storms fault. Yes I was part of a league but no one talked or did anything.....it would help if my headset worked on the ps3. I'm just running arround board that and a bad thunerstorm makes the resetup hard.

Gw2 Player here, as well.
It's over-all an amazing game, but the one real thing it lacks at the moment is gripping story. Gameplay is freaking amazing, events are plentiful and fun, hidden things are everywhere, rather well hidden and worth finding, the playerbase is... not bad...
But the story is just not as present in the game as I feel it should be. when its there, its in short little bits, and never feels relevant or pressing. It tries too much to focus on your own 'unique' story (which everyone else who selected the same options has...) and all but ignores that of the rest of he games lore:( the staff have even said rather than further implementing the dang lore, players can just look it up on the GW2 website.
