1 Name: DefterMoon : 2020-07-06 00:10 ID:EwjWlvXk [Del]

I think this could be something interesting to discuss. You list your 5 favorite movies and a short description about why you like them so much. They don't have to be the best movies you've seen just your personal favorites.

2 Name: Akina : 2020-07-14 22:01 ID:UBL/qBx2 [Del]

1. I always loved Shrek 2 ( Music was great with preformance of animation. The story was direct and definitely a funny movie that can strongly keep people entertained.)
2. Saw movie collection (For more the painful and blood side excuted greatly and the story was very good to me.)
3. HunchBack of Notre dame (Please watch it was worth the rewatch if you got a vagu memory of it. The story was great and love Esmeralda.)
4. Aladdin Live action (I believe performance was great and the acting, I felt like Will Smith he played the role flawlessly as Genie idc who disgree, I loved it.)
5. Just Mark Walhberg spensers confidential or pain and gain - This actor overall always entertained me love him. ❤

3 Name: Kit Kobayashi : 2020-07-16 13:16 ID:wy6skxPZ [Del]

these aren't in any particular order
1. Super Dark Times:
I honestly feel like this movie should be more popular because of how unbelievable it is. Its like a coming of age film tied with a thriller in the most subtle way. Without it becoming too over saturated like it could have been.
2. Hot Summer Nights:
I've gotten a lot of crap for liking this movie because of how timothee chalamet is such a big thing now, but watch it. The cinematography is beautiful, and the story line goes between two different, but connected topics. It's really good.
3. The Vanishing of Sydney Hall:
This is by far one of the most captivating films I've ever seen. The story bounces around a lot through time, and though that it really helps you understand how the characters feel. I like it a LOT.
4. Ferris Bueller's Day Off:
I used to watch this movie a lot as a kid, and I think it'll just always be one of my favorites
5. Dead Poets Society:
This really changed my views on life in a way that i can't explain. This movie feels very important every moment you watch it. The idea of learning to love poetry in a movie seems odd, but it did such extraordinary things for the characters. And the teacher was quite unorthodox in his teaching ways, which I really liked

sorry this was so long lol

>>2 Akina I also love the Hunchback of Notre Dame it is such an underrated movie. When I first watched it I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of the whole movie. The art style was so incredible and the music as well just adds to this grandiose feeling. Admittedly I haven't seen some of the other movies on your list but I'll be sure to add them to my list.

6 Name: Vigil : 2021-03-23 07:40 ID:PS8sybNw [Del]

Conan the barbarian, as good as it gets, tue quick and the dead, the big labowski, 3000 miles to graceland. Those are my top faves not especially in order. As to why? Conan is good because its simple effects, and overall philosophy. Plus the main antagonist and protagonist are awsone, played by good actors. As good as it gets has one of my fav avtors, jack nicholson. The movie also depicts obsessive compulsive disorder really well. Thecquick and the dead is simply a fun, actiony yet dramatic movie with cool pistols. The big labowski is a rare nihilist gem. 3000 miles is another fun action movie with good action scenes and really good music. Hmmmm, sooooo yup XD

You all have cool choices!
(Movie musicals are my favorite genre btw!)
1. Into The Woods
(I love the musical and loved the movie especially Meryll Streep and Lila Crawford. It features so many talented actors and actresses)

2. La La Land
(I love the soundtrack, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are my favourite musical composer duo - I love Dear Evan Hansen. I really like the characters, the set design is amazing. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were *chefs kiss*. If I had to put in one bit of criticism it would be that I didn't like how Seb and Mia didn't end up together.

3. The Farewell (non musical lol)
(I loved the Farewell even though it made me sob my eyes out. I watched it way back before the virus, and by the end of the movie everyone in the cinema was bawling. As a person of Asian descent (I now live in London) I could really relate to how important family is (especially elders) in Asian culture. Even though it made me cry, I still love it and am so happy my gf dragged me to the cinema to watch it.

4. The Greatest Showman
(It has Zendaya and Hugh Jackman, how could I not love it!? I love the Greatest Showman, good set design, good plot, good characters. My only criticism is : it wasn't very similar to the real PT Barnum - he was a horrible person, they had Rebecca Furguson lipsync to Loren Alred, instead of just finding an actress who can also sing, or just casting Loren Alred.

5. Les Miserables
(I love Amanda Seyfreid, she was PERFECTLY cast!! I love Anne Hathaway, I love Hugh Jackman, I love Samantha Barks, I love Eddie Redmayne!! The set design was so amazing, the costumes were brilliant! Overall the movie is so good.)

5. The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring
the very first movie I had with my family that is not a horror film. They love "The Grudge" so much it bore me to death.

10 Name: MarieAndHerDogs !DtNPN3MipE : 2021-05-07 11:46 ID:fBoDnqWK [Del]

1. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
This is my favorite childhood movie, I used to watch it every day when I was a little kid. I was obsessed with horses.

2. How to Train Your Dragon
I love this movie so much. I loved the bonding moments between Hiccup and Toothless.

3. Brightburn
I just loved watching this movie. Evil kid superman? Yes please!

4. Sonic the Hedgehog
It's on this list just from Jim Carrey's dancing, loved that scene. Anyways, loved the movie but never watched any of the shows before.

5. Before I Wake
I loved how the movie ended. The movie didn't just have some random monster.

11 Name: NG-S : 2022-10-06 23:10 ID:pGs1E47Y [Del]

1. Planetarian: Storyteller of the Stars- This movie made me cry as hard as when my mother died. Man, do robots go to Heaven? scene gets me everything.

2. No Game No Life: Zero- I'm a suckered for tragic love stories. I cried near the end.

3. A Whisker Away- I love cats and yandere characters. The 3rd act ruined it a bit for me.

4. A Silent Voice- This was the first movie that made me cry.

5. Violet Evergarden: The Movie- it was emotional and moving, I cried.

Hello there! Glad to be back on the site. It's been a while. Here are my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

1. V For Vendetta

This movie inspired me in a lot of ways. All throughout the film, there are themes and philosophies that I personally identify with. As such, over time, I've made them my own. Since this movie changed my life in such a fundamental way, as I embark on my own journey as a filmmaker, I plan to one day change someone's life in the same way my life was changed: for the better.

2. WALL-E

My favorite Pixar film. When the captain said: "I don't want to survive! I want to live!" that shook me to my core. I learned that the two were not necessarily the same. Also, I'm a sucker for a cute romance and a robot love story of all things? Brilliant.

3. Beauty and the Beast (1991)

As stated above, I'm a sucker for a romance story. The music, the artwork, the camera work, all of it is top-notch throughout the entire film. Also, it gives me hope that someone ugly like me might find a girl like Belle. Smart, passionate, a desire to grow and see the world. Ah, she really is the perfect woman.

4. John Wick Series

Best action series of all time in my opinion. Clean visuals. In-camera stunts and choreography. Keanu Reeves at his finest. Nothing gets me more inspired to get out there and make a film quite like the Wick series.

5. Annihilation (2018)

Good science fiction stays with you forever. I've heard the book is better, but honestly? I adore the film as is. Such a cerebral experience that dives deep into the human process of creativity, growth, and knowledge. There's really nothing else like it.
