Surprisingly enough, this thread does not exist yet.
So, what are your favourite film scenes? Which scene really did it for you? Which one had you go "Yes, I love this film."? It can be the coolest, saddest, most aesthetically pleasing, or the best music accompanied scene, whatever you can think of.
Feel free to also use this thread as a sort of promo for a film you would recommend to other Dollars by showing awesome scenes from your favourite films ;).

I'll start.

For me, it's this scene from Tron: Legacy. The scene is often described as 'what would be the perfect bike commercial', and that is no exaggeration. The visuals are amazing, it's simple yet super cool, the music is on point...
At first glance you might think this a transition scene like any other, but it really isn't. The scene foreshadows a later part of the film, and knowing what the rest of the film is like, makes you realise that it perfectly sets the mood.
It's only about a minute, but you get entirely sucked into this slalomming, hypnotising scene in which all of your attention is focused on that bike.
The music is what makes this effect possible. The soundtrack of this film was done by Daft Punk, and you may say whatever you think of the film itself, but that soundtrack is one of the best that's ever been made. This scene manages to convey that already, but if you're not convinced, I'd say: see for yourself.

I'm starting this off with a scene from Cars 2 for the lulz, :P nah jk.

Rod Torque is a secret agent which had been held captive, they put him on some sort of treadmill-like contraption which forced his wheel and engine to accelerate to his maximum speed while being shoved a tank of fuel. At this point, the bad guys showed him their secret weapon. An electromagnetic pulse emitter disguised as a camera, the weapon is able to mess with the car's fuel and caused the engine to somehow malfunction. I don't know how, movie logic. You must've remember those scene when the racing cars had their engine blown by the 'camera' from afar. Now, this camera is aimed it towards him face front.

At the end, they pushed the weapon's limit and proceed to kill the agent. That scene sticks with me since 5th grade until now.

I have an unreasonable weakness for the climax of No Game No Life Zero. While I like the series, it has a lot of factors (like ridiculous amounts of fan service) that annoy me.
The film is a lot better though.

Riku's breakdown at the end, when he realizes that he sacrificed everyone at his side for nothing is very emotional and really stuck with me.

>>4 Would've been nice if you include a thumbnail, I know that scene though. Great story nonetheless, apart from the fanservice.

That scene from 1994’s “Clerks”, where Caitlin has sex with that dead old man who masturbated himself to death, thinking he was Dante. When the police roll him out on the stretcher he has a huge fucking boner because of rigor Mortis.

One of my favorite scenes is from one of my favorite movies. In Scarface the ending scene is one of my favorites. When Tony is dead floating in the little pool and the camera starts going up and the music starts playing and you see the statue that says "The World is Yours".

I was stuck between two.

The first was Cutler Beckett’s death scene in Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. The music combined with the cinematography and Tom Hollander’s amazing acting made me fall in love with this scene. Everything he worked towards is quite literally blowing up around him, the hopelessness displayed with the music backing it is strangely beautiful.

The other is the ending scene from Donnie Darko. The irony of it of the situation in which Donnie is laughing at the fact that in order for the universe to be corrected he is not only the person able to save it but he also has to die in the process despite the fact that dying alone is his biggest fear. Also the use of Mad World by Gary Jules as it goes through all the characters that interacted with Donnie in some way waking up at his death but not quite understanding what happened or why they are feeling the way they are.
This includes his mother and girlfriend Gretchen who acknowledge each other but don’t seem to understand how they know each other or how he saved them. All of it is just very tragic and I kind of love it.

Oh damn I sort of forgot about this myself, I'll need to check some of these films out. That 'Clerk' film really has me curious now

Anna's death scene in Anna Karenina (that hit me so hard)

The end scene in Joker(2019) where they put him on top of the cop car and he just sort of becomes THE Joker.

The scene in The Truman Show where he starts to realize his whole life isn't real.

The scene in The Theory of Everything where after Hawking decides to leave a marriage with Jane she says "I have loved you...I did my best." Goosebumps.

There are so many great movies, it's hard to choose just one scene.

I love the scene in Misery where the main character picks the lock and explores the house while the lady looking after him is out. It's so damn tense.

That scene in Whisper of the heart where the two main characters realise their dream and promise to meet each other in the future.

I absolutely love Whisper of the Heart! My favorite scene there was probably when they were jamming together at the workshop. I've had Take Me Home, Country Roads stuck in my head for a week.
