just wondering if any of my fellow dollars have seen
"perks of being a wallflower" and what they thought about it

I thought it was pretty wet to be completely honest. I guess it got a bit freakin heavy towards the end there but I'm not sure I had built up a connection with the character enough for it to have had an overwhelming effect on me. But yeah the ending? Wet.

I do agree with that but the book has much more where they rushed the movie in characters

That movie definitely changed me when I watched it at a younger age. I don't think I even fully understood what it was saying at that point, but it gave me an incredibly idealized view of what high school was going to look like (and potentially college) that I had to unlearn over the years. The music was fucking fantastic and influenced my soundtrack, and the movie overall put me on the path to wanting to become a writer.

Is it a perfect movie? Absolutely not. I'm sure that if I rewatched it, I'd find a ton of flaws in the movie I once considered flawless because I didn't have any basis for comparison at that point.

But it definitely was an /impactful/ movie to young me, and I find that rather interesting.

I'D definitely recommend checking out the book, it offers more insight into the relationship between Aunt Helen and Charlie. Loved the movie though, aesthetically pleasing and incredible actors.

I had to read the book in school.
Surprisingly I fell in love with the book. I have to admit I had a little crush on Charlie.

As soon as I watched the movie it changed. In the book charlie was a cute shy character. In the movie he's a pretty boyyy and it's just weird.

Read the book. It's very cute.
