anime is good, but i would recommend manga. There are a lot of fillers (and some of them are actually really good). The whole second season does not follow manga at all. The third season picks up from manga again and is very entertaining to watch. The movie was amazing in my opinion too. It really showed some character development.
Over all, it's good series to take up some of your free time :)
