I can not believe how much this movie crushed me. I want everyone to make sure they gave seen this so we can all share this emotional distress. The animation is beautiful, the story is unique, and its not long at all.If you've seen it, do you know any more movies like it?

For me it was good but not that unique, also quite surprising how fast it goes. If you liked it you should watch Natsume Yuujinchou and Mushishi, two very good anime series with nature and spirits.

I second Mushishi because it's a masterpiece, though the whole ambiance of it isn't really comparable. I'd also suggest Anohana (if you like melodrama) and When Marnie was There.

I second Natsume Yuujinchou. This show is created by the same mangaka, and there are a few characters that almost seem to be prototypes for this story.
