We Bought A Zoo is a 2011 American family comedy-drama based on the 2008 memoir of the same name by Benjamin Mee (the owner of the zoo, of course).

Basic Plot: After the death of his wife, Benjamin Mee decides he needs to start over because everywhere he looks in his tonw reminds him of her. The day he goes to get the house, he thinks it is perfect and then finds out it is a zoo. He decides he shouldn't buy it until he sees his daughter interacting with the peacocks and thinking that the place is once again, perfect for he and his family. Once they move in, Benjamin has to start taking care of the zoo as its now official owner, and the struggles and emotions (good and bad) continue on throughout the movie until the very end.

I thought this was a really heartwarming movie and it's definitely something I think everyone can enjoy. Although there was this one part that absolutely aggravated me, because I thought it was unnecessary and didn't make sense based on what had happened prior to the event, it was good. Some things were contrived, but that's not always bad. The expected isn't always bad, especially in these cozy kind of movies.

I really liked the development of the relationship between Benjamin and his son, Dylan. I also enjoyed Benjamin's daughter, Rosie, she was very charming/cute!

I recommend watching if you're in the mood for something fluffy. 7/10 Here's the trailer.
