(500) Days Of Summer is a wonderfully crafted romantic dramedy that centers on the lives of Tom Harrison, a man who believes that he'll never be happy until he finds true love, and Summer Finn, a girl who doesn't believe the same as Tom. They break up on the 290th day that they were together, but Tom spends the rest of the 210 days to get back Summer, all the while talking about the other 289 days they were together. Unlike other romances, this film is told from the perspective of the male demographic. The lead characters, played perfectly by Joseph-Gordon Levitt and Zooey Dechanel, have the best romantic chemistry I have ever seen. Not as good as the romantic chemistry between Ethen Hawke and Julie Delpy in Before Midnight, but still pretty awesome. This film is a great romance that takes a diferant approach, is incredibly original, and also shows an accurate potrayl on the Hipster Lifestyle. So on a scale of one to ten, I would definetly give (500) Days Of Summer a 9.5/10.
Nah. I loved this one. Joseph Gordon-Levitt + Zooey Deschanel = winner.
I'll admit that it's probably not the most... I dunno, ambitious film I've ever seen, but it's funny and consistently engaging, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of movies I've seen.
