It's hard to explain the film without spoilers but i'll try, It's about a boy who survive an misterious accident, then he starts to have some alucinacions and he starts to act strangely.

Ah, my sister watched this movie. She said she loved it and that Donnie Darko was life.

Well it's also about parallel universes and philosophy about time travel. It's Psychological and interesting to watch.

Jake Gyllenhaal is good in Nightcrawler, a good non-Hollywood film from last year. Donnie Darko is amazing though, and I love the soundtrack - some good new wave tracks on there.
