An Affair to Remember is a 1957 romance film starring Cary Grant as Nicolo Ferrante and Deborah Kerr as Terry McKay.

Plot: Nicolo and Terry meet aboard a ship heading from Europe to New York City. While on the ship they begin to fall in love, even though they are both already in relationships, spending their days together getting to know each other. When the boat docks near Nicolo's grandmothers house, Nicolo and Terry take a trip to go see her. While there, they fall more in love. So much more in love that they kiss (which back then it was a pretty big deal to kiss someone). They spend the rest of their days together and on the last day they promise each other to meet in six months on the 102nd floor of the Empire State Building. ^_^ After that I would be spoiling the movie for you so I won't say anything else.

It's a lovely film. It's a touching, sad, and funny love story, but it's not a mushy love story which makes it something that everyone can enjoy.

Note: Some parts in the movie have French dialogue, but it will not deter your understanding of the film.

This looks like a good movie. I'll keep it in mind next time I feel like watching something classic.
