A blind lawyer, with his other senses superhumanly enhanced, fights crime as a costumed superhero.
So, the first of Marvel's Netflix series. Didn't know exactly what to expect beforehand since I don't blindly trust Marvel, but it was a worthwhile watch.
Starkly dark and violent for the most part, but with enough heart where it matters to keep you invested. The middle was a little tedious to get through, for me at least, because it started following a too familiar pattern of bad guys doing bad things, Matt brooding, punching people and getting punched. The last 4 episodes were pretty stunning though and the show ended on a high note.
I take it as a sign that a superhero movie/series did good if it leaves me wanting to go read some comics, which this one did.
Season 2's out now. Got a few other shows to get through after finishing season 1, but, well, this might just be the show that gets me well into Marvel.
