I'm not too impressed to be honest. I thought the 2005 film was good when I saw it, and so I don't feel a hunger inside me to watch a remake. I definitely will watch it, but not in cinema. The trailer makes it look like the whole film is just back story -- like the fantastic four won't be saving anyone until the sequel.
Looking back at the old ones, they're a bit dated. Not just in CGI, but in style. Too bright and comic-booky, these days they prefer a more gritty edge. Idk, I think it might be alright, but I don't hold high hopes. The trailer doesn't give much away apart from the obvious "they get powers", so maybe they're keeping the plot under wraps better than some. But still, I had literally zero expectation for this film before the trailer. At least now I'm slightly bothered about it.
That's fair enough. I didn't have any expectations either -- similar to how I feel about Ant Man. I'm interested enough to watch it though, so I can have more discussions about the new generation of Marvel Films.
