Im gonna be excited for the new ant-man movie the trailer looks awesome.

I'm excited for it too! I have high hopes about how they do special effects while he's small. Either CGI or with huge props.

Has anyone actually read the comic? Because surely that will be a pointer to how good the actual story is. (Unless Marvel decide to make a new story - I don't know how these remakes work)

As is usually the case, Marvel have re-started the Ant-Man line, just to get people pumped for the movie. It's only just started, so I can't really say anything about the new run, although the old Scott Lang stuff wasn't bad. They aren't using the original Ant-Man, but someone that took the mantle from him instead, so it'll be quite different from the comics I think.

Ah I see! Then I have no choice but to watch to get a better opinion :3

Hah, that's exactly what they want you to think! It'll make it a bit different at least. I'm glad they aren't just doing the same thing over and over. It'd get old really quickly if they did.

>>3 I'm not that familiar with Ant-Man canon and the few things I know are about Hank Pym and not the guy that's gonna be this movie's protagonist. The movie story looks like it's gonna be very different from comics stuff though, since there's going to be a big age difference between Scott and Hank and Janet van Dyne (aka Wasp) isn't even going to be part of it :T. It's probably gonna be its own thing.

So yeah, I'm not particularly excited about it, but I'm gonna try to watch it with an open mind.

I read somewhere (I think) that Janet will either be in it for a small part, or mentioned. I have a feeling the character will be dead, hence why Hank isn't Ant-Man any more in the film, and wants to pass it on. Maybe. Who knows?

Maybe not. Mentioned in a flashback or something maybe then? I find it hard to believe they'll not mention the character at all, even if there's no actress portraying her in the film. But who knows. Maybe an easter egg type thing nodding to her in the background or something, Marvel tend to do that a lot.
