It is about a Mentalist named Patrick Jane. Jane has a keen sense of observation and intuition. He can infer a person's personality or past actions from small yet significant clues, usually in the form of seemingly insignificant objects or people's reactions to provocative actions by Jane. Jane previously used this ability to pretend to be psychic, and appear on television to talk to people's deceased relatives or predict their future. He was very successful, so much so that he helped the police profile a serial killer called Red John. Jane humiliated Red John while discussing the profile, and as a result Red John brutally murdered Jane's wife and daughter.
Jane quit pretending to be a psychic, and joined the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a consultant in order to catch and kill Red John. The series follows Jane as he offers his assistance on (but more often, single-handedly solves) cases for the CBI, focusing mainly on cases involving victims of Red John.
I like this show. It is very entertaining, the writing is detailed and funny, and Simon Baker does a great job of playing Patrick Jane. Are there any other Dollars that watch this show?
Ah I used to watch it but haven't for a couple of years. I watched the first four seasons and the first half or so of season 5.
I kind of lost interest. The episodes that have to do with the main storyline are always great but the rest of them are pretty average. I really think it should have ended by now, because shows like these tend to lose in quality as they drag on. I remember watching the last episode of season 3 and being on the edge of my seat, but then the next season was like 'psyche' and things went back to normal. My interest just steadily dropped since :/
I still think Patrick Jane is a really interesting character and I like Lisbon a lot and most of the team too, so maybe I'll catch up one day, who knows.

i love it so much! But I just can find the first and the second seasons in china. My mother and I look for it on the website for a long time,but we hardly find anything
