Long before I was into anime, I would always watch action movies and war dramas.

I bet some of you noticed the "Full Metal" part and thought Panic! or Alchemist. Keep in mind when I first heard Fullmetal Alchemist, I thought it was a sequel of sorts to Full Metal Jacket... I was wrong of course.

But I love this movie very much. The movie is cut in two halves. One half is training and the other half is of the war. Honestly, I prefer the training bit because I feel the movie goes downhill after it's done.

That said, I still like the movie a whole lot. With its symbolism, psychological terror and black comedy. Along with countless quotable lines make Full Metal Jacket one of my favorite war dramas.
