For me, Ella Enchanted. Horrible. Worse thing ever! The book is a wonderful story written like an old, dark, fairy tail, and full of such creativeness and for all ages and genders. Movie: Piece of Shit Chickflick.
I know here are others: The Narnia Movies, Eragon, The Last Air Bender, etc. But Ella Enchanted was the worse I've ever seen. They didn't do a thing right other then pronounce words right.

Eragon is the worst I've seen. It changed many things for no apparent reason, left out an entire species (dwarves), ignored the physical descriptions of most of the characters and creatures and made them look totally different, and generally screwed so much up that it would be impossible for them to make a sequal.

Twilight series was garbage in the movies. The books were so much better. Not a huge fan. I love reading the books before i see movies for anything so i can compare them. The books were way better for this particular group.

I agree with the Percy fans...that movie maker should be struck by Zeus. They owe us 5...possibly 10 movies that ARNT screwd up. (Note,they only made 2.SO yes,its a huge screwup.)

The Percy Jackson movies need to be thrown into Tartarus. I think they did fine on the first Narnia movie, but the other two were complete crap.
And like Kistune said, they made the Hobbit trilogy out of a book that was shorter than ONE of the LotR books.
There are very few movies that can compare to the book. That's even true for manga and anime

Attack on titan live action!...Most live actions are pieces of sh!t anyways. I'll admit It could've been worse. The only redeemable factor about it was Hanji. That was it. Most main characters from the survey corps aren't there. And the remaining few are extremely watered down versions of themselves. The "tomorrow when the war began" series by John Marsden. The books were good, compelling and overall enjoyable to read. However, the movie was an absolute shit show and was so bad, they lost millions of dollars by making it.

Honestly, I have to go mainstream here and say Percy Jackson, not that the movie wasn't entertaining, it was just so incorrect. They messed up simple things like hair colour even, and they made this hilarious book into an almost dead serious movie, it was just almost annoying for a book reader.
