A lot of you may or may not know that Disney bought Lucasfilm about about 4 billion dollars, which has entitled them to anything "Star Wars" that Lucasfilm had. So what's the first thing Disney announces? It's "star Wars: Episode 7"
"Disney's latest acquisition and the announcement of "Star Wars Episode 7" is easily one of the most energizing and polarizing pop culture announcements in recent history. A seventh film in the "Star Wars" series has long been rumored, and soon, it'll be a reality, under Disney's supervision no less."
Above segment can be found hereWell, taking into account what Disney has done in the past, making big hits like "The Avengers" and "The Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, this may turn out pretty good. But then again, look at the new Tron.
"The buyout is Disney's fourth largest deal ever. It's behind the $19.7 billion, $7.6 billion and $5.2 billion buyouts of Capital Cities/ABC in 1995, Pixar in 2006 and Fox Family in 2001, respectively, says S&P Capital IQ. It tops the $3.96 billion Disney paid for Marvel in August 2009."
^Different site this time^Well, Disney sure has money to buy anything and everything.
Anyways, what's your opinion about this resent news from Disney?
