I'm not quite sure if I'm excited about this or not. Anything with the name Tarantino attached to it is a must-watch for me, but I'm not really a big Eli Roth or RZA fan. Whatever, maybe they'll surprise me.

>>2 Tarantino had nothing to do with this movie. And when you try to make a movie in anime style, it's horrible. What? Look at "warrior's way" if you don't belive me.

Oh good there was already a thread for this

It was literally the best movie I've ever fucking seen

I'll try not to spoil much since a lot of the enjoyment comes out of the experience but if you're into the old style of martial arts movies in terms of plot structure and depth, then this is for you. It's exactly what you'd expect and more.

I couldn't contain myself while watching it. It was perfect.

>>3 Really? Because I swear it says 'Quentin Tarantino Presents' at the top of that poster. And speaking of Tarantino and anime style movies, have you not seen Kill Bill? It's got to be one (well, two) of the best films ever made, and there's a whole chapter of the first film in anime style animation.

And after watching a trailer for this, I'm sure I'm going to love it. It's a shame we don't get a theatrical release here in Australia. Looks like I'll just have to wait.

That is good to hear. I love me some martial arts movies, no matter how campy they can sometimes be, but I was worried this movie was going to be a little too ridiculous.
I'll definitely check it out now.

>>5 After Kill Bill welll.... most of these new movies in anime style are really bad. I am sure that you wet you jimmies when you read Quentin Tarantino presents, but i do not know what is wrong with him. he lets everyone to put his name in there. And i think half the part of the script was made by Captain Obvious, because he told me that the swords are made of iron. Oh thank you, i always knew that swords were made of pencils. The only thing that i like about the movie is that Russell Crowe is in there. but i don't think if i should give him an Oscar or cut him for my dinner. I mean he looks like a condom full of chocolate pudding in it. for me, this... let's call it a "movie" is not good at all.

Yeah, I finally watched after two years of putting it off. This movie has over the top martial arts action, blood, gore, hot Asian chicks, RZA, Russell Crowe, Tarantino's name on the poster, and an epic hip-hop soundtrack.
In short, it's awesome.

Apparently they're making a sequel, too.
