Well you kind of do. We here on this site would RATHER you explain it, in good detail, than to just create a very short, generalized topic.

You could just post a comment on this topic, explaining the first movie in good detail. Before the rage-happy people come. Normally that'd be me, but I'm in a good mood, tonight.

Also I hate EVERY Resident Evil movie that has Milla Jovovich in it, and doesn't keep true to the actual game series.

Resident Evil: Degeneration is the only Resident evil movie, that is a direct source from the games. They are making a second Degeneration, and the first one was actual CGI, made to look like the actual games. Same with the soon-to-come, second one.

But, also to say, you could have posted this question in the topic made just for Zombie Movies. Just saying.

I made that one :) but it seems that most people wanna talk about Shaun of the dead more. And yeah I guess the live action resident evil movies aren't actually from the games. But they did use of the things from the games in the live action. But in the fifth movie that is coming out, Leon is gona be in it. But yes it is gonna be an actual person. And in the forth one the parasite is out and everything. So it now starting to follow the games but not completely.

Sorry but I've watched the live action resident evil movies before I watched degeneration. And I didn't really like it. But I'll watch it and the new ones that are coming out too.

Any true fan of the actual games wouldn't even call the Live Actions worthy. No offense to you, but you're more a zombie lover than a Resident Evil lover. You're just in it for the zombies, and wouldn't truly care either way if it's canon or not. Most people who like the Live Action movies don't much care for the game, but do care for zombies.

to me, the Live Action Resident Evil movies are trash. Let alone, why the fuck did they add nemesis to it, in the second movie, if it didn't at all follow the story of Nemesis?

Nemesis did not turn GOOD in the end, and help them escape. He didn't turn good, and shoot down a Helicopter with a Rocket Launcher. In the game, he shot the Helicopter near the middle of the game, because they were there to help get the woman you play as, out.

He doesn't turn good at all. He is a killing machine who continues to mutate into an mess. Trying to kill you. Yet the Live Action movies play him off as some type of tragic, ex-hero who is actually good.

That is a load of bullshit, and he was always evil.

If they were going to create something out of Resident Evil, they should have created all new characters, enemies and a story. Not rip off a game, and change every fucking thing.

Also the licker. The licker wasn't born from some lab, from a boss, which was to be for their 'Nemesis Program'. The licker was just average people, who mutated into creatures. But they tried to play it off as they created them on purpose.

The Live Action movies is a big 'fuck you' to the games.

Im sorry that you feel that way. But actually yes I would like to play the games. But I have no game system to play them. So you see the problem here. And to be honest I created this for people who like the movies not for someone to trash talk about them. And so what if I'm into just seeing zombies.

I said no offense. If you take offense to what I said, my bad. But to me, the movies are trash. Also since it's on a public place, you'll get both haters and likers. It isn't going to just be people playing nice, talking about only liking it. That isn't how the Internet works, if it's out in the eye of the public.

But the fact remains, if you make Resident Evil movies, it's always a moronic thing, to make them where most fans are pissed. The only reason they make them, is because if it weren't for the fans, it'd never had been made. Not even the REST of the games after the first one.

It's pretty stupid to try to paste in shit from the game, into totally wrong scenarios, while STILL trying to create an original story. the only way for the Live Actions to work, is if it's all an original story. All original characters and zombies.

Before the movies i had only played Resident Evil 4, so at the time I didn't really know too much about the whole Mansion and Raccoon City incidents, but the movies in and of themselves were pretty good and solid, so I went back to play RE 1-3. Not.Even.Close. they do NOTHING to remain true to the games, but would rather try and use the gimmicks of the games to make money. I have often told my friends that, while it would be difficult due to the fact that RE1 and RE2 actually have different stories depending on what character you choose, it would be FAR more beneficial to make movies that actually follow the characters and story of the games. it's just really a better story.

That being said, i think that Mila Jovovich is a badass in general, and as i said earlier the movies in and of themselves are solid, it just disappoints me when they use obvious game gimmicks to try and appease fans of the games while there is NOTHING else that you can really relate back to in the game. The characters they use in the movies are NOTHING like their digital counterparts and i think at this point they really passed the point of no return for me to respect it as a Resident Evil title. again, good movies in and of themselves, but nothing that I would personally call "An awesome addition to the Resident Evil legacy"

Also, No Leon AT ALL, no Chris until movie 4 after the apocolypse has happened, and Jill's first appearance is as Wesker's blonde wench after the credits of the 4th movie after Wesker has already died? WHAT THE FUCK?

You see jill at the beginning of the second movie, but of course I would know that because I have all four movies! Plus the soundtracks for them as well. It's not a spin off, its the same game. The reason it's not called "Biohazard" in the U.S. and Europe is because of the band named Biohazard and another game at the time. In an effort to ignore fighting a legal battle for the name, Capcom decided to instead just rename it "Resident Evil" which had been done through an in house contest.

Because we have the right to talk about them. that's what a discussion is. It's something for people for and against something to talk about. I personally liked the first movie and Degeneration. The third one was passable but 2 and 4 where god awful, even if you remove RE from it, they are still horrible movies as a whole. The fifth one doesn't look any better.

seriously, people do not all have to like it. i'm pretty much neutral to it (as i stated, they're decent movies in and of themselves, but disappointing in terms of RE), so i see both sides of the argument, so as I said, people should have the right to say whatever the fuck they wanna say about the movie so long as it isnt vague sentences stating that they simply hate the movie, nor should they start ripping on people of one side or the other. I HATED when it showed Nemesis in the Live Action movies, you know, because it didn't match up, but I LOVED that they got the look of him down pretty well.

I like the outsiders song. But when I heard at the end of the 4th movie I didn't know who sang it or what the song was called. But then I looked through my mp3 and found it. I can really thank one of my friends for getting me into a perfect circle. But I also liked the axeman song. I love the beat to it. And then there's a lot of songs from the 2nd soundtrack that I like too.
