ZombieLand is a pretty good zombie movie. I don't think I've seen enough zombie films to determine a favorite though. Another good zombie film would be Dawn of the Dead.

They are having, and/ or HAD a contest for 'The Walking Dead' where you could become a zombie on the first episode of the new season. You get paid, 3 day/night stay at a Hotel, all paid, and a round trip from where you live to there, and back. Also a guest I think, could come.

I've seen both 28 days and 28 weeks later. My boyfriend liked 28 weeks later. But I liked both. I've seen a trailer for a zombie movie filmed in Russia. That looks like it would be a good one. With or without subtitles or even translated into english or another language. Of course theres also a zombie movie called fido. And then there's one with nazi soldier zombies too.

I loved 28 days later because the guy slaughtered everyone to save the girls from getting raped. Totally hardcore

Ok so I watched dead snow last night. And I have to say it is way better than the evil dead. The evil dead was a disappointment in my opinion. The medical students got ripped apart by nazis zombies. So none of students if they did get bit, they didn't come back as the undead. But one of them got an axe to the neck. Lol one of them got bit in the balls.

Can't believe no one said this before, but the "28 ...s Later" movies are not zombie movies.

On another note, going to be 24 in April, been a zombie fan since I was 5 and have watched zombie movies, played zombie games, and read zombie novels, throughout the almost 20 years. I Socks challenge ye to a battle of the zombies. Lol.

On topic, go check out The Killing Strain, it is a zombie movie that takes place and filmed around San Antonio where I live. One of my friends even got to be a zombie in it. It was an indie film so don't expect gold, but it is still a pretty damn good movie.

Infection/Virus/Viral/(Any other word which means the same thing that I can't think of right now) movies are what I dub them, now if others have a different name for them, then I don't know. The 28 ...s Later movies are more like The Crazies, they aren't the walking dead, they are just people who have been infected with a chemical/virus/etc. that causes them to lose all morality.

I personally enjoyed the crazies. But it was also a movie based in my home state. And I think the 28...s later movies. I think one of the previews said it was a virus. But I guess how I would defy a zombie, it would be someone that a person who wants to eat flesh and can't get enough of it.

But I have seen a movie called zombie apocalypse. I liked it. It was different than most that I've seen. There's like zombie dog and tigers. Which were pretty cool.

I'm from Iowa, and I Love zombie films. In fact, I've been preparing for a zombie apocalypse for 3 years. I have an original (1978)Dawn of the Dead theater poster right above my computer :D My favorite zombie movie...a hard question. I really liked 28 weeks later but I think my favorite rests in Dawn of the Dead (1978) The original if there were any questions. :P

Shaun of the dead, or Night of the living dead are my favorites. Shaun of the dead is a lot of fun to watch, but Night of the living dead is a classic.

God.. The only zombie film names I see when this thread gets bumped is "Shaun of the Dead" or "Zombieland". While those are both good and comedic zombie films, they are not the only ones in existent. I don't think most of you people even watch zombie films as much as zombie-girl does. Unless you've seen a minimum of 5 zombie films I don't think you can really count "Shaun of the Dead" or "Zombieland" as the best or your favorite zombie film.

Resident evil series, Dawn of the Dead, Death Valley: Revenge of Bloody Bill (I think that's the name) and Land of the Dead. I have seen both Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland but wasn't much of a fan of them both, plus I got tired of my friend quoting lines! Anyways so yeah the Night of the Living Dead series is a good one, too. I'm waiting for a new movie called World War Z, hopefully it will be good.

Also, The Evil Dead is still a cult classic, and even though there are more GORY movies, back then, that movie was a very horrific movie in terms of gore. I love the Evil Dead series.

i like land of the dead, remake of dawn of the dead, dead snow, and the resident evil seires. i can't wait for the fifth one to come out. :)

Alright, I'll say that the Resident Evil series is my favorite. This is entirely based on the fact that I have seen very few true zombie movies, and therefore have a small selection to choose from.

I like Dawn of the Dead and Zombieland.

It really depends on if you want a comedy or a horror zombie movie but the best comedy zombie movie is Shaun of the dead and the best horror zombie movie is dawn of the dead

I think the main problem of this thread op is just that not many people make legit zombie movies anymore. If you asked about aliens im sure people would be able to list off tons of ones they liked.

i am not actually a fan of alien films honestly

Zombie Movies have become big, it's just not common enough to list off a ton of differing ones, per person.

I also don't think there are many Alien Movies out there.

The big thing has been remakes, and Vampire movies.

I can name off a few right now
avatar, alien vs predator stuff, the abyss, that one movie with the glowing eye guy, that movie with the people who turn blue and disappear when they look into the light of the alienship, etc!
while zombie movies....
theres some nazi zombie movie, umm..... yea.. i dunno.

Still, it's not really common. You can name a few Alien movies, but that's because over the long years, they actually created some. -Some-.

But it still isn't a common thing to make.

ok i do have to say my favorite scene from shaun of the dead is when shaun and his best friend are walking home and they are singing that song (totally having a brain fart on the song sorry) and zombie moans. love that scene.

resident evil afterlife- when the axeman is walking down the street dragging his axe/hammer.
land of the dead- when the soldier gets bit in the arm with a zombie that had to whip his head over to bite the guy.
dead snow- when the guy cuts off his arm (where he got bit) and he stands like he's ready to go, looking at his friend, and a nazi zombie pops out of the snow and bites the guy in the balls.
