But I loved the original movie, but the second one sucked big time.

THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE "SUPER MARIO BROS." MOVIE! OH, GOD! If they try to make it "realistic" and not include anything about Outworld, or other realms, IT IS GOING TO SUCK!
Oh, god, I can just picture it now, Shao Kahn is a druglord, Kano his henchman, Goro is a conjoined twin, Raiden is a DA agent, Sub Zero has some technology that involves liquid Nitrogen..... ohhhhhh, that would suck everything!
Just what exactly is wrong with the original movie!?!?!? They actually did that very well, it wasn't too cartoony (street fighter) and it wasn't a complete change in story just to make it realistic (DOA, SMB, RE)

The first was GREAT! the second, they just tried to shove all the other games into one package, had some bad acting, and sped along way to fast to get through all the characters, also, Mileena, who is suppose to be Kitana's Twin/clone, was a different actress! lol Nightwolf, badass, but only 3 min. of screen time, and Jade wasn't a hot black chick, and evil.... and not too attractive. But I really enjoyed the first one, that was done well. ^_^
