This movie... oh god this movie. Probably one of the best movies that has came out this year. Don't be fooled by the promotional material, it is much more than "the fast and the furious meets the 80's". The hero is a compelling enigma, the soundtrack is godly*, and the whole thing just screams cool.
Stylish and dark, this is something I would like to see more people enjoying. Fair warning though, it gets rather violent.

I saw the movie with my father and his girlfriend. We thought the beginning was very slow and rather boring. As the ending, I saw it turn out pretty good. I wouldn't recommend it though. Waste of money.
So after a really, really long time I actually watched this.
It...gave me a lot of conflicting feelings honestly. Not because of the pacing or any of those things, but because it unveiled itself at one point as being a strikingly violent movie. I don't know about other people, but for me there's a moral threshold that characters shouldn't cross to still be somewhat relatable, and all of them crossed it in this movie. But it's odd how through the little things it made up for that. Small gestures, short revealing lines made a world of difference in humanizing the main character and in the end making him a very intriguing and memorable one.
So overall it was a very interesting movie, and the soundtrack complemented it perfectly. The way it ended wouldn't have been the same without the song that came with it. It's not a movie for everyone I guess, but it worked out for me.
