Well, it depends on what you want. If you want to enjoy the movie, don't read the novel until you've watched it, because it's much, much better than the movie. On the other hand, you'll probably like the novel more if you are not already familiar with the plot, so, as I've said, it depends. I would also recommend other novels by the same author, I've read one or two, and they're pretty interesting.

The one thing that Fight-Club leaves out is the serious and long-lasting injuries people attain quickly when trying to imitate it. Less hunks of muscle and more hunks of severed arteries and shattered bones.
