So I was at this drive-in theatre recently and I saw a commercial for the new version of Spiderman. Any thoughts about it? My sister was genuinely pissed because she thought it was stupid to remake the perfectly good movie. I have mixed feelings about it, but I was wondering what you guys thought.

I think it's a great idea. They're making it more accurate to the original comic, and the ending of the Spiderman trilogy with Tobey McGuire (think that was his name) was really terrible. A lot of people are saying that this new Spiderman will be in The Avengers later on, assuming that The Avengers will also get a trilogy.

The trailer didn't give any high hopes, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'll watch it anyway to see if it's any good.

I want to see this movie. I think it would be interesting to see this movie and hopefully it'll be as good as or better than the other Spider-Man films.

They are fixing it.
The original series, the comic, was called "The Amazing Spiderman" and in the original series, he didn't shoot REAL WEBS. He had a web shooter he made, and on this new movie, they show the Web Shooter.

Hmm. But it would be fair to say that filmmakers deserve another shot. Sam Rami completely botched his chance, and I am pleased to see that this version looks darker and more down to earth.

I'm actually going to retain my feelings until I go see it for myself. It is supposed to be sticking to the plot of the original comic series, and they are preparing him to join the Avengers later on, correct?
So, I'm just going to wait and see then decide later. :3

personally, I thought the guy who played the first spiderman looked way too old. And he didn't make enough jokes. y'know, classic spidey banter. This movie is going to rock because what's cooler than a skinny, teenage nerd beating the crap out of thugs while making fun of their mothers?

To the people who are annoyed at the new movie trailer, the Amazing Spider-man follows the comics "The Amazing Spider-Man"! le gasp, while the original Spider Man was based off of the just plain Spider-Man comic book series. Not to mention yes, it is a tie in for Spider-Man joining the avengers, there will also be a new fantastic four movie. If you saw the extra ending of the Avengers, you know what is coming up, and if you followed the Avengers, that means you know who will be joining the Avengers next.
