One of the best sci-fi series I've ever seen and also one of the most short lived, with only 14 episodes.
Basically it tells the story the crew of the transport ship Serenity as they travel the outskirts of space trying to make a living. Most of the jobs they do are illegal and most of the times things don't turn out as simple as they were initially meant to be. Amazing cast of characters, original, imaginative, funny, it's basically got it all if you ask me.
I don't know how popular this show is or if many people have seen it, but if you haven't I definitely recommend you give it a try.

Well there is Serenity (the movie) and it tried to wrap some things up but it's not really the same as if the series would have continued at its own pace.

You're missin' out on a helluva ride, Kamina :) Serenity is freaking AMAZING. My brother, sister, and dad watched the series before I did and wanted me to come watch the movie with them. I refused because i wanted to see the show first. Thank god i did. It's an awesome movie, but falling in love with the cast beforehand makes it all the sweeter.
