Alright guys, fave movie? What do you think of the new ones? Are they good or is Disney trying too hard?
I personally love Tangled, and it may be my favourite recent Disney movie ♥ As for the older ones, Lion King was mine along with 101 Datamation. You can tell by the abuse of the VHS boxes.

i went to disney land not long ago, reminding me my great childhood with disney movie. my best love is mulan and Lion king.
besides,i do love the music!! they're awesome..

ohh pepper ann was awesome! and the weekenders and stuff. but i mean those shows like suite life and stuff. those are dumbbbb. i didn't like thats so raven either.
I never saw mulan as a kid, i wont lie. but i watch it with my sister now and its so AMAZING.

i have nothing against the new disney movies, but i prefer the old ones. Personally i loved Despicable Me, Tangled, Monsters VS Aliens, and Up, but nothing can beat amazing movies like Beauty and the Beast (my favourite), Pochahontas (did i spell that rite?), Mulan, and Aladin

Ah, I really enjoyed Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, as well. I loved Tangled, but I think my most favorite and most recent would have to be Up. Touching. Hilarious.
For favorite villain, I would agree with Thanatos that Hades is quite amazing.

Although I used to hate it when I was little, I really like "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" now, really because of how dark and mature the film really is, and how you can't really understand truly what's going on in the movie until you are older. I also loved the Black Cauldron, that film was EPIC! The Horned King is such a class villain. Heck, they had to remove him from the front cover of the DVDs now because he scared children XD

I used to love "The Brave Little Toaster". I watched it in replay. It wasn't well know, but damn it was good. But I also liked Mulan, and the Lion King. Damn, I LOVED the Lion King xDD

I haven't seen Tangled, but it seems to be on a completely different note than the other "Princess" movies. Action, punchlines... I'm sure it was great, but it really seems like Disney's trying too hard to please the newer generation.

I love Disney so it's pretty hard to decide on a favorite Disney film. When I was younger I was obsessed with Sleeping Beauty. And for the newer Disney movies I think they're pretty good. The Princess and the Frog as well as Tangled were good movies to watch. The only bad thing about Disney movies is that they tend to have bad sequels. Not all of them are bad but most of them are. Either way, Disney is awesome! :D

I am surprised that this thread hasn't been bumped in over a year now. Especially since we had Wreck-It-Ralph come out and Disney is releasing it's new movie "Frozen" this year. I get that someone had made a Wreck-It-Ralph thread, but that doesn't mean we still couldn't talk about it here and see how it holds up as a Disney film. As for Frozen, I want to know your guys' thoughts about what you've heard about it. From what I've read of the premise, I absolutely LOVE this idea. I want to see Frozen for the premise alone. It sounds promising and I'm hoping it'll be at the very least decent. Can't say it'll be a perfect movie as I don't want to be too disappointed, but I am more than willing to watch this in theaters.

Oh and another thing. I firmly believe that Disney is not going to stop making 2-D films. While I wouldn't say they'll make them as much as before, I am sure that someday someone in that studio is going to want to back to the traditional roots and therefore they will make a film using traditional animation. Even if it takes 10, 20, or over 30 years, I'm sure Disney will make another traditionally animated movie one day.

My favorites are Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast.
Sleeping Beauty has the most beautiful animation of any Disney movie. It also has Maleficent, who is like my Goddess.
And Beauty and the Beast has the best story out of them all. I felt the love.
