so i was talking to a buddy of mine about how i miss western animated films that weren't CG. one can only watch so much bad anime before they start to long for something different. late that night i was browsing and came across this little film. boy did it give me the fix i was looking for.
absolutely gorgeous, it tells the fictionalized tale of how the book of kells (ireland's national treasure) was made. not only is it beautiful, but apparently hand drawn (something i really don't believe, so please prove me wrong before my head explodes). if you aren't so full of yourself that you can still enjoy a movie for children, i suggest you see this.
when i was in ireland my family, including myself, saw this book. the whole ireland trip was a fantastic experience and i'm proud to be part irish myself.
i'll definitely watch this over the weekend if i manage to find it online.
I've watched it, absolutely amazing! The soundtrack is good and you can become attached to the characters. Adventure and friendship, you should really watch it!
