Litchi Hikari Club revolves around a group of schoolboys who plan to create the ultimate in Artificial Intelligence. As the story progresses, we watch the group gradually fall apart due to internal conflict and as the boys, under corrupt leadership, involve increasingly more twisted and depraved methods to reach their goal.
This manga is not for a person who cannot take gore. 'Cause there's a lot of it. This version isn't complete. By the way read Bokura no Hikari Club before this. Please, don't read this if you don't think you can take it. I can't really tell you what to be prepared for, but take notice: This. Story. Is. Messed. Up. It has little to no morals. You've been warned.
By the way, the art style bothered me for a bit. Only until I saw what the plot had in store.

Children please don't read this manga.

Contrary to everything I thought I knew about my tastes I actually enjoyed this manga. There was something compelling about it and the gore....was weirdly self-aware of its own absurdity half the time (just look at the way Zera met his end lmao). Bokura no Hikari Club actually made the original manga look more like a tragedy and surprisingly made me emotional towards the end. If Zera and Jaibo hadn't joined the club the rest of the kids probably wouldn't have become as messed up as they did.

What a messed up manga. Read it at our own risk.

I enjoyed it too. I was actually glad that Bokura no Hikari Club had a continuation. It just didn't fit to have a semi-happy ending like that. Also, the way Zera met his end was hilarious to me. Exactly! If Zera, and Jaibo didn't join Nico wouldn't have ended up like he did.(Spoiler) Then again, Dentaku was apart of the fall. He was the traitor in the end(Spoiler End)... Apparently the manga us still ongoing, but I'd like to consider the last chapter the ending. Though, I wasn't crying tears, an' everything(at least I don't think so), it was still incredibly sad...

>>3 I read Bokura no Hikari Club second because it was actually published after LHC. Both of them are completed though, LHC has 4 chapters and BnHC has 12.

The art always reminded me of Suehiro Marou who did the wonderfully more gruesome The Laughing Vampire among other works. Litchi Hikari Club is rather tame compared to Maruo's work but still enjoyable nonetheless.

After reading that synopsis, I was wondering how the fuck gore could lead to the creation of AI
