Strange murders are happening in Tokyo. Due to liquid evidence at the scene, the police conclude the attacks are the results of 'eater' type ghouls. College buddies Kaneki and Hide come up with the idea that ghouls are imitating humans so that's why they haven't ever seen one. Little did they know that their theory may very well become reality.

I watched the anime when it recently came out, and I fell in love <3 But when I finished the manga, it blew my mind and re watched the anime since I was waiting for the sequel, when I realized the anime was indeed poorly made (I was sincerely surprised that I became VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WHAT THEY DID TO THE ANIME WTF). Really one of my favorite mangas of all time. One of the few where I keep re-reading it and clasping more and more detail. A very good story written by a talented mangaka! The foreshadowing and the symbolism lately has been very mindblowing too. I find the art style very unique and nice too ;)
