i'm thinking about making a manga about a girl who's brother plays basketball. she doesn't want to go to the last game of the season but her mom makes her. when she gets to the gym where the game is supposed to be her brother and his team arnt there. and instead there are two other teams a red and black team and a blue and white team. the coaches are two very different people. the one coaching the red and black team seems like a sweet and charming man, but he has a scary sort of aura and is actually really mean and cold hearted. the coach for the blue and white team is sort of naive but really nice and follows the rules. the teams themselves are different as well. the blue and white team are conversing and practicing nicely but the red and black team are fighting each other for kicks and are just being mean for no other reason other than to be mean. anyway the coaches get the girl to referee the game they are about to play. the girl agrees noticing how important the game is to the coaches. and well long story short... the blue and white team are angels and the black and red team are demons. they are deciding the fate of the world through a basketball game and they needed a neutral referee to keep things fair. if you have any ideas or anything please tell me
Give the girl more character, like the part where the 2 coaches nominate the girl to referee, there isn't any character at all, it seems like you the author, is trying to force the story onto us, make her seem tsunderish? (dont have to if you don't want to) and try to... involve the brother into the story without "actually" involving him. Try exaggerate the part where the girl is confused about where her brother is more than why a different team is on the court. Btw how does the mother take part in this?
