Haruhi Fujioka is a poor girl attending the prestigious Ouran High School on a scholarship. One day, while wandering around, she accidentally breaks a valuable vase in the host club's meeting room and is forced to join the club to repay her debt.
Shenanigans ensue, because the club members are all eccentric rich kids, the exact opposite of level-headed Haruhi, and always get themselves into trouble.
The manga has a great sense of humor and parodies a lot of things typical for the shoujo genre. It also has its fair share of drama, each character has their own story to tell and goes through significant development until the end. The art is a big weird at the beginning, but gets much better. As one of my favorite shoujo manga, I really recommend it. Especially if you've enjoyed the anime, check it out!

>>2 it touched my hearts, I love also the theme of key tiny details revealed so much. Like the one girl who loved tea sets always felt joy because of her fiancée the tea sales men. (Might be different in manga though, never had the manga)
>>12>>13 I agree with both of you I think it feels like they had a certain number of episodes that they could use so when they were getting close to their limit they just summed everything up, even though I know that wasn't the case. My Favorite character was Kaoru...Except the episode of Hikaru&Haruhi's date with the thunderstorm moment. ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆
