I rarely find people in the outside Korea who claims to have read this comic. Estancia, a Korean webtoon by Team PK released in 2006, is a dystopian master piece that follows the pilgrimage of Joe and Kay on their train ride to Estancia, supposed utopia and the land of promise. The stations the train stops at present challenges that the characters must face and survive.
The comic was a big hit in Korea. So much so that it was translated and published in the US, first ever for a Korean webtoon. But for whatever reason, probably due to lack of publicity in the US, English copies didn't sell well. The copies are hard to get, and the lack of sales in the US meant the English version only had 3 volumes, incompleted, and its sequel Estancia 2, released in 2008, never saw the light outside Korea. However, it is possible to read the entire comic on its English publisher's website. Here is the link: http://www.webcomicsnation.com/hammock/estancia/series.php?view=archive&chapter=6545
I think this comic deserves more recognition. Please do note that English version have several minor plot tweaks.
