whats that? i get to read and pay for manga online? im sorry, and i'd hate to be told that my work was being read online for free if i were an artist, but i dont like reading manga online, but i do it anyway, this is kind of turning me off of manga, now i'll either wait till a manga is printed or just read it somewhere else, i just dont like this change.

38 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-01-21 23:49 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

i personally have been sending messages to shonen jump's twitter, facebook and email about the digital and in each i tryed to hit key points and told the people could just read for free and people only have subscriptions to own the manga personally and you can't switch you traditions and i understand about the digital thing trying to keep up with the world but we have keep our relations you have with your customers and the old way must not die and i was hoping you all could help by sending simular messages to help mine and maybe your cause

>>17
Stupid or joking. Not sure which.

It means there will be NO MORE PRINTED versions. Waiting for them would mean you'd wait forever.

48 Name: Lord Lucario : 2012-02-03 02:22 ID:UaMB0I7u [Del]

We should all write angry letters to Shonen Jump! We should tell them to continue doing the print version. Also >>47 I think he means the print volumes of individual series.

49 Name: Shinra : 2012-02-03 17:42 ID:ORnbj2Vk [Del]

52 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-02-09 16:23 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

hey if people can't get manga read it online for free but they want you to pay for it and so if you can't get ahold of it im srry for that but its no reason to completely cut the real stuff cold turkey

53 Name: リカルド・コントレラス : 2012-02-10 12:04 ID:z8w3mQji [Del]

Wait wait wait, the magazine? Or the manga they sell?
I collect manga and I am very confused here. I rarely buy any manga from them except if its Ao no Exorcist/Blue Exorcist x_x

54 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-02-10 17:04 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

53 The magazine/manga that comes once a month.

What? Wow. I only own one volume of shonen jump that my school book fair was selling surprisingly.

59 Name: BlueBarry : 2012-02-17 20:05 ID:CrBVbuxI [Del]

It costs like a dollar for online and if you've already subscribed for this year you can either get a 8 month free subscription to sj alpha or the res or the rest of your money back. If you keep your subscription you also get Three free online volumes of any manga.

60 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-02-19 18:08 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

yeah i just renewed my subscription and i found out about this and thats why i posted this thread to warn people

61 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-03-10 19:12 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

Well i got my last issue for everybody who exspessed their concerns thank you and last at least a few words: shonen jump you have been a great deal in everybodys life but all i can say is RIP Shonen Jump im reading online for free!

62 Name: Hibari : 2012-03-11 20:48 ID:v7rCMki/ [Del]

Do they know how many people read manga online already on other sites?

63 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-03-13 21:24 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

I know dude i know.

64 Name: LunaticTKR : 2012-03-14 14:45 ID:chZgjKgg [Del]

Noo!!! I'll admit that I do generally read online but when ever I get the chance I always buy the actual manga, if they do this they're just losing money, I'm not paying to read online. :C

65 Name: KillPopStars : 2012-03-15 03:43 ID:GYM6wzLS [Del]

Wow, this is really shocking to find out. Shonen Jump was like my first foree into manga, as well as insights to Japanese culture. Seeing this is like seeing another nail into the coffin that is my childhood.

>>65if only there was a way to thumb up posts

67 Name: aruifa : 2012-03-17 18:10 ID:oY1yBm3O [Del]

if they are really turning digital, when will they get money? o.O

68 Name: kibara : 2012-03-18 23:36 ID:JGDPlk37 [Del]

personally I think it was and is a bad idea because I would buy shonin jump and other manga for the feel of reading it with the book in my hands I mean if I want to just read manga I just go to the hundreds of sites that show them for free

69 Name: Beelzebub : 2012-03-20 17:14 ID:lWAjQpgi [Del]

68 your soooo right!

70 Name: Hibari : 2012-03-20 18:26 ID:/STAAoPw [Del]

Bad choice is all i can say about this.

71 Name: Hibari : 2012-03-21 06:56 ID:ibDIQbZh [Del]

This was my first step into manga and anime.

72 Name: mei-chan : 2012-03-21 10:22 ID:UrLr+UMB [Del]

i already sort of read it digitaly like on the online manga scans. but woulnt this be harder for the translaters, bacause what if they didnt have a kindle or nook?

73 Name: baccano : 2012-05-14 17:53 ID:vrhwkAtu [Del]

Shonen jump has commited suicide most people only find out about it when they look through the stands or a friend.

74 Name: M. Kida : 2012-05-14 19:43 ID:lpY4jj58 [Del]

I read manga BECAUSE of the fact that it is a BOOK. To be honest, I don't see why they are moving it to only online. I mean I am fine with books also being available to read online but I would much rather just read the book. I watch anime online, not read manga.

75 Name: xX_Lament_Xx : 2012-05-15 12:47 ID:nrzThgBl [Del]

I am very pissed off at SJ, my internet isn't working right now (I'm using a school computer LOL), and god knows when I'm going to get it back. I've been a loyal fan to SJ for 8 YEARS, and now they're just gonna cut me off!? Also, by going digital, SJ will probably lose a lot of money. Who's actually going to spend $30 a month to read something they can find just as easily for free? It's a terrible idea, and I think they should stick with the magazine.

76 Name: Keanan-san : 2012-05-15 13:40 ID:QsoULv9o [Del]

Yeah Im not looking forward to the online only -_-

77 Name: Live 2 Die : 2012-05-15 16:14 ID:aarybefE [Del]

Im not too crazy about SJ moving online. Personally, I think the idea is UNBELIEVABLY SUCKISH! I agree with >>74! Im a manga on PAPER guy.

78 Name: Zero : 2012-05-15 19:07 ID:t8RP37Jb [Del]
