I was just wondering if anyone else noticed how much more gruesome and bloody the manga is as apposed to the anime.

I agree, the manga is ten times more bloody than the anime is. Although I've found that the manga version of anything is usually better if it came before the show. Still fun to watch and compare the two, though.

If you ever take a film or even a theatre class one of the things you learn is that the more general the audience, the more people can watch it, and thus the more profit you will get from that movie. Let me explain. Who can watch R-rated movies? Adults. But if the movie were rated G, it's not only adults who can watch it, but their children too. R-rated movie = $10 ticket for one adult. G-rated movie = $30 for an adult and his two kids. See? The more general the movie, the more ppl watch it. The more profit.

Bleach the anime is rated T for teens. (But hey the manga is rated Teen too!) Yes, but a TV show can't have really graphic violence. Those are rated MA. Remember what I said? It's the same concept. A T-rated show will be watched more than an MA-rated. The more people who can watch it = more money Bleach anime gets V: People are greedy. And you'll just have to live without much bloodshed.

When checking out an anime..you people must read the manga first, Mangas are usually ALMOST ALWAYS more good than the anime...but anyways, BLEACH IS AWESOME. I LOVE BLEACH. And if you think that this is bloody....it's not. Compared to other manga/anime, this is not bloodshed level yet, i think the bloodyness is quite suited or well made. The Fullbring Arc was still GOOD!! But in terms overall, i could be the worst arc but it's still AWESOME!! And when i heard that this was the last arc, i was like, "NOOO!!!!!!! HELL NO!!!!!" I can't imagine what it would be like without Bleach. i would probably say the same about Naruto, but i've given up on it. (it's gotten really worse, and Tobi being Obito made me want to SCREAM.) sorry Naruto fans, but it's doing the worst in the Big 3, and I agree. I've been watching Bleach for a while, but I stopped on the Anime (subbed) once all the stuff with Aizen and the Arrancar ended. Honestly, that should have been the end of the series, both anime and manga. It closed all plots, and Ichigo even finished with losing his Soul Reaper powers. It's stupid to continue it from there, and miraculously giving him a way to get them back (or any powers at all).

But now there's this other crap going on in at least the Manga and I just can't care to pay attention to it anymore. In my opinion, the show is over.

I tried reading the manga back when I was first watching...and honestly the art style is too hard to read for me. 90% of the time in fights I have no idea what's going on, it just looks like a scribble of lines to me. I get that's not everyone, but it kept me away from the manga completely.

Unlikely that it's actually over. The story was unfinished where they left it. HOWEVER, after reading some updates on this topic, it seems that Tite Kubo had announced back when the Anime's "ending" was announced that the manga was also entering it's final arc then.

That leaves the possibility that they're going to make another movie to finish off the anime, and are waiting for the manga to end to properly do it.

Honestly I didn't know that the anime had ended. I stopped watching, as I said, when the Arrancar stuff ended (around 310 I think?), because I feel like that should have been the ending in the first place. Regardless, if this is the case and they do make a movie to finish it off, I'd probably watch it(and the relevant anime episodes) just to see how it officially gets ended.

Techically the anime was good (i only started with bounts saga and then did a bit of the beginning) but it had flaws like battles lasting more than 10 episodes. The arrancer saga wasnt my fav but I loved the shusake amagai saga. But not so much the sword beasts/muramasa saga

Ive been wondering that too and it seems like the anime continues after the Aizen saga. Ive seen multiple manga where it picks up after that. But everyone said it got canceled which made me confused. But the books are there so there is more.

Manga is always ahead of anime and since this one is still ongoing, yes it continues past the anime's end.

Yeah.... animes tend to have less gore and sexual content than their manga counterparts because of TV censorship guidelines :P
You'll find that manga that's sold in the U.S. is also much more censored than the ones in Japan (which I thought was pretty much common sense no offense).
Also, Bleach has been going down hill since the Arrancar Arc. You can totally tell that Kubo wants to create epic battles with a whole new league of power in Ichigo's adversaries but they become way too strong to the point where he doesn't know how to forward his story fast enough so that he doesn't lose readership through the long-dragged fighting and defeat them so he comes up with bullshit ways to do it (ex. Unohana, Aizen, Gremy, and any Quincy pretty much).

Bumping this since the recent chapters have been fairly great for this new arc.

Ok, before this arc started properly he took a few weeks off supposedly to plan for it, so it might overall end up making a decent amount of sense. The fights in it haven't been that long either, which is good. Actually...the Arrancar Arc fights might not have been that long either, but I experienced that arc in anime form and anime tends to stretch things out a lot so as to not go through material too quickly. I'm not planning on rereading anything to check though.

I just don't like the fact the fact that he calls them "dead" when they're technically already dead, you know? They're souls, not live humans. The overall zombie concept, like controlling others against their will, is fine with me. He just needs to stop calling them "dead".

Honestly, I've been a huge Bleach fan for years, and I think in this latest arc, Kubo is slipping. The latest chapter did give me nostalgia for the old days of Bleach, and I loved the emphasis he gave on Orihime missing Ishida, but the fight scenes lately are too dragged-out and it's just...lacking.

I'm just waiting for Kubo to get back to how he used to write? I guess that's how I want to put it. Because he's introducing so many Quincies and killing off characters and stuff that I can't really keep track of everything. I was pretty on top of things up to the Fullbring arc, but now I can't really remember names for the Quincies. Also, Kubo is messing up his own lore sometimes in this arc, which kind of pisses me off. He wrote Bleach, so he should at least remember some of the logistics of it....

I definitely prefer the manga to the anime, but Bleach is getting reaaally draggy. I think we'd be fine without the latest Quincy arc and maybe even without the Fullbringer arc. It's the best manga for me. Quincy arc was just the best, giving the most important answers and the connection between characters, it's so good.

While I don't think that the Quincy arc is the best in terms of plot and pacing, it's good that the mangaka is filling all of the plot-holes and hopefully we'll see a more satisfying ending than what happened to Aizen.

We also now know why Ichigo's Zanpakuto is shaped the way it is.

It is actually the shape of White's arms, the experimental Hollow that got absorbed into Ichigo's mother who is a Quincy. The same Hollow that is now in Ichigo. See, Ichigo's Hollow form now has a name. It's not Hollow Ichigo, or Hichio, or Ogihci like people have come up with in the past. It's name is White..or was. His name can also still be Zangetsu.

How do people feel about the more recent manga chapters? I kinda feel worn down, like my enthusiasm for the series has depleted. Just feels like it keeps dragging on for me...

Sooo.... I know I'm an idiot for not saving it, but a raw picture got out last week and now is damn near impossible to find.

But it was of Grimmjow with a whole in his head, and the black quincy who uses a gun as his weapon. So yeah... Grimmy's back, but apparently not to stay.... Orihime better bring his ass back to life, though. And I'm not even saying that for the sake of my ship- I'm saying that because you would have to be a monster to have fans waiting for seven years just to kill off that character in less than ten chapters after his return.
