Gantz tells the story about Kei Kurono who dies along with his friend by an oncoming train in order to save a drunken bum. Waking up, they find themselves along with others in a room with a black sphere known as Gantz. As it opens up, it reveals guns and suits with heightened physical abilities. The sphere reveals they have been brought back to life and now belongs to him. He orders them to kill off gantz targets who are revealed to be aliens living on earth in disguise. with each kill there is a point. At 100 points, the participants can quit to live normal lives. Kei decides to use his points to revive his friends.
Artwork is decent....conflicted....the manga has great potential and certainly is very good...if you are patient. The first hundred chapters or so is just little plot, fanservice, and meaningless but cool-looking violence. After that, the plot really starts to get interesting....still the manga is really intriging and quit addictive to say the least. It get's updated every 15 days or so so for the fast pace, the quality is consistent. Read this manga yes...but cautiously..
