Also there's Akira, which is a CLASSIC. Each volume is at least twice the size and thickness of any regular manga, and costs around 25 dollars (haha) It also has a movie adaption, and JOHNNY YOUNG BOSCH PLAYS THE LEAD!! So yeah...hope this helps ^^

I highly recommend this to anyone that loves horror.

You could give Corpse Party Blood Covered a try even though it takes like a month for the translators to translate xD
Or if you read ecchi you could read Corpse Party Musume, another version of it.

the best are probably doubt and another. ive never seen mirai Nikki but i know its gunna be scary so i'd count that too

Hmmm. The only ones I've read are Higurashi, Umineko, and Elfen Lied. :P I'm not too into horror. It's gotta have more substance and plot than just a bunch of gore to manage to keep my interest. >_<
