I simply LOVE this manga. Basically, it's the story of 2 boys who try to become successful manga writers. Also, Mashiro(the one with blue hair) makes a deal with Azuki, the girl of his dreams, to marry each other if their series is animated and Azuki becomes a successful voice actress. It's made by the same masterminds behind Death Note, so if you're a fan of their work, you should give it a try!

Its nice to see that there is a fellow dollar that is a Bakuman reader. I am only on about the 10th chapter due to me having a huge backlog of anime and manga, but so far I am really digging it as well. Although I could see how something like this would turn off those fans of DN

I LOOOVE Bakuman! It starts out a bit slow but once the main characters begin creating their manga, it really gets going. The plot is great and there's also lots of humour and romance. There's so many fun characters in it like Hiramaru and his editor Yoshida. The art is just amazing. You can really see the change in the characters as they slowly grow older. I'm probably only saying this because I love Bakuman but it is definitely worth the time.

I don't know why, but I ended up really liking Bakuman. Despite the amount of characters, it's still easy to get, and I like how everyone's striving to be the best (except Hiramaru lol). I also thought it was funny how Mashiro and Takagi thought that manga with too much writing is hard to follow, yet Bakuman itself has lots of dialogue. It's really interesting though and gives a new look into how it is to be a mangaka. Leave it to the makers of Death Note to make writing and drawing look so cool!

Bakuman is actually the first manga I actually bought from midtown comics, it's not only a good read but helps motivate me with my goals and dreams. Though I did not confess my undying love to someone like Mashiro, I still strive to become the best I can be. I would recommend this manga, I didn't care that it was by the same people as Death Note because if I did, I would constantly complaining and comparing it to DN constantly saying why would THEY write something like this, it doesn't seem right. Bakuman is Bakuman, Death Note is Death Note, thats my logic. Although they do make a lot of references to Death Note in the first volume,lol.

I've recently started reading this, it's AMAZING. Definitely one of the best manga series I've read so far. Takagi and Moritaka are brilliant as a team and Azuki and Miyoshi are awesome love interests. Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata really outdid themselves with this series. I personally believe it is much better than their most popular series, Death Note (though I do find the manga of Death Note boring whereas the anime is in my top 10). Can't wait to buy another volume and will definitely keep up with this series until the end.
