Has anyone read or watched Gintama? (I hope this wasn't posted already. -_-') It's a great series that combines action and comedy very well. This is my favorite series, but it seems to be underrated by some. Both the manga and anime are great. Check it out!

I haven't watched/read it yet but i did read somewhere that it was one of ryohgo narita's favorite manga. I don't know about other people but that makes it sound real good to me.

I *LOVE* Gintama. It's one of my favorite manga. It's one of those stories where the author just goes "screw it!" and throws in a bit of everything. I can't understand why so few people know of it/like it, it's way better than other popular manga or anime out there (*cough* Naruto, One Piece).

Best Anime/Manga in all of history I mean its random funny awesome it uses a lot of parodies and pretty much every epsiode you watch wants to make you watch more and more

Ah, Gintama... no matter how many other mangas I read, nothing will ever be able to live up to it. Amazed Sorachi hasn't been sued yet for some of those jokes, though...

I love how there will be full chapters where nothing happens at all, but you'll be sitting there laughing so hard you cry. And then all of a sudden, the next chapter will be serious and action-filled. I feel sorry for those people who don't like Gintama, I really do. But I guess it's all a matter of personal taste.

lmao I once made the wrong choice of reading Gintama during English class (where it's usually really quiet), and ended up snorting out loud because I couldn't hold in my laughter

It's a miracle how the author kept coming up with all these funny(dirty) jokes that keeps me laughing no matter how many times I've re-watched it. Just hope more episodes can be produced quickly though.. xD

I love Gintama! Only in 1st episode I laughed 42 times and yeah, I counted xD

I've become impatient with the lack of Gintama in my life so after postponing it aging and again I finally started reading the manga. And by started I mean the things that haven't been animated yet.

I've always liked Sorachi's art style, even though when actually reading the manga you notice how often there's a bit too much dialog/text on a page and not enough motion. I mean if you think of Bleach and its airy style, then Gintama is almost its opposite. And since I really like the anime's voice actor cast, I couldn't help but miss their voices heh.

Overall I'm really glad I started reading it, there's some great stuff in there! I still can't wait for the anime to come back though.

I've always avoided manga spoilers, so I'm gonna try to refrain from posting them, but I.... amazing.

I just had a mega-delayed realization that the Shinsengumi outfits aren't lined with yellow in the manga but with white/gray.

GINTAMA IS AWESOME. It's kind of underrated, but once you read it you'll be laughing. In fact, this is my favorite anime. Like, Sorachi doesn't care what the audience thinks, he just does what he wants and stuff... and that's what I love about it.

Man I gotta say I love the lack of dialogue in the fights. It's so refreshing compared to most shounen manga out there. It feels so much more exciting.

It works particularly well with chapters like 517 where you have this brutal fight with almost no words juxtaposed with flashbacks where most of the talking takes place. This chapter hurt me so good.

I personally think it's as ridiculous as thinking the Shogun was actually dead that time when he wasn't but part of me is still stressed out about it. It's that he looks a lot like Shoyou with that long white hair. People have truly lost it, I love it.
