It seems alot of Manga sites are starting to close down lately. We can only hope that other newer ones will spring up in their place after a while.

this was really sad and I usually download it. ahh I still remember the days when I used to read ouran on onemanga. it'd definitely suck if every such site disappeared mostly because 1. no one can afford to buy every desired manga and 2. I sometimes read manga with interesting titles, just because they caught my attention - and sometimes they're nothing more than garbage. why would I want to spend money on that?

i usually read mangas from pages in spanish... however, i know how important this page is, like mangastream, to most of the manga readers. it is a sad moment to manga diffusion overseas

I don't know how people didn't see this coming - they were offering manga for free on the internet. It would have happened sooner or later.

It would be nice if there were a website offering manga legally to read online, sort of like Crunchyroll, but I can't see it happening anytime soon.
Ultimately, people can't really complain about manga reading websites being shut down, because they are illegal... but there will probably always be manga scanlations on the internet, if you know where to look.

But Mangafox is okay right?
I had been reading Kuroshitsuji on mangafox and they took it off, probably because of it being released in the us.
And I was having problems with Souleater on one of the sites too.

>>12I agree. Honestly, I don't think it's really a necessarily bad thing that onemanga is going down. Those sites do kill the market in the US, and if the market doesn't expand, it's bad news for the industry.
But, honestly... Official translators should just scanlate the things and make people pay to read them online. As long as the price wasn't extortionate, I don't think people would mind that much...

these 2 days.. the time releasing new chapters of JUMP
I feel like missing there really.
I already read some new chapters fro other sites but actually prefer onemanga
now mangafox is gone too ...for some mangas from JUMP they're banned
it's harder to find the good site to follow favorite mangas.
although there're always other sites to go to
but really hop they 2 will come back!

They won't keep scanlations groups by closing down the readers.
Most groups are going to just go through IRC for now, or so I've heard.

23 Name: Ayanavi : 2010-08-05 23:17 ID:RgaZjhG2 [Del]
I started finding the sites of the scanlation groups and downloading the chapters as they come out like I do with anime.
Hidan no Aria, Kitsune no Yomeiri and Stigmata in particular.
Especially the first one. It got green-lighted for anime adaption, I'm so excited.

While I found a website called mangastream that scans the popular JUMP series and they're high quality, but I've been waiting and waiting for the Bakuman chapter to be posted.
I finally decided to go to sleepyfans and download the new Bakuman chapter.

Mangafox is a good site, but Mangareaders too.
It might be best to use both, although Mangareaders updates more often.
