That's a shame you couldn't participate in that event, I'm sure you would've gotten lots of praise and little critiques here and there. The green under the head could be a bit more as to what it is. I was a little confused when I saw it, but it's great you added that detail!

A Local Design Character that i made for a final exam in my Institute. She is someone who dances Remo/Remong dance in my country (you can google it about "Tari Remo"). If you are able to tell the difference between this one and the others about the coloring style, well its because i drew alot of bnw arts, i kind of forgot how to coloring haha. So far I've made a set of brushes I really like, but there's this setting using density that I can't achieve no matter what... I don't think I can feasibly accomplish it in Sai actually.

Aahh.. For me, i never put my brushes to the blackest. If i remember correctly, the density on top is like 90% while the density on the bottom is like 170-180. Plus i give textures on my brushes so they will feel like pencils. Well, i also dont think that i can get the brush that i want in sai2 because it really is hard to set it. I planned to study clip studio paint because i want to achieve this manga-like style. They said it was worth it to purchase csp, but i still dont have the time yet 😂

Have you used the trial version for CSP? I did so last year and immediately fell in love! They had a spring sale recently with 50% off and I was so ready to buy it—but my transaction won't go through. I was incredibly frustrated that time. I'm hoping next year they'll hold another sale .

As for the density settings, I don't use the max too. Line art mistakes are simply more forgiving that way ;0; BTW, what do you mean by "density on the bottom is 170-180"?

Currently, my issues with the brush is the fact that the stretch it takes to go from min density% to the highest brush density has this set interval that I simply cannot override no matter how hard I tried. Basically, I wanted a brush that would be super light (15% min density) but would immediately shift darker relying on pressure only. I've maxed out the pressure sensitivity for density and all, yet there's still this super light streak before it finally fixes itself (travelling from 15% to max)... Kind of like how ballpoints don't write ink until after you've scribbled on some scratch papers.

Honestly I wonder if it's due to curve interpolation. My trial period expired already so I can't test it out on CSP yet (´;︵;`) It gets more and more tempting to purchase the software.

My, i dont have brush that i use with 15% density so i dont know what to say 😳 correct me if im wrong. So you want this brush with 15% density and can immediately change it density with the pressure u put to your pen right? I never encounter that kind of problem yet because thats HOW i draw and lining my art

Im quite a lazy person so i almost never change my brush when i lining my art. Usually if i want to make this line thats more darker and thick without changing my brush nor changing the size, i just put some power for that line and that also works for the opposite. Really Sorry that i dont have the problem solving for this

Talking about csp, my irl friends really persuaded me to use it cos it really is that good. So that tempting feeling is real, i can relate about that 😂

Oh, I see! I tried looking for the misc. tab up just right now and I think it's a newer version of "Tools Preference"? The version I got is probably different...

Thank you for answering my questions! It must've been a bit annoying, haha. I did try some workarounds over the issue I was referring to above, but honestly it's just a minor gripe that I wanted gone because of some long ingrained perfectionism habits.

So, I ended up trying a new brush with your tips in mind. While the dream flat brush is still on hold, I've recently adjusted this online pencil brush into something of pretty decent line art. I feel like I'm cheating when I set my stabilizer to 11 though... (/;w;)/ Maybe I should practice more so I can get good results with stabilizer at 8.

Ahahaha dont worry about cheating. Thats the use of softwares anyways. As long as your basic is good enough, then thats good. Apps or softwares just things to help us, other than that its your skill based on your hard work so dont mind too much, or rather we should use the technology to the max 🤣🤣
