Hello Fellow Dollards,

I am not sure if this is the right place to be posting this request, but here it goes.

I'm a league of legends player, along with my wife, and we're also trying to start streaming on twitch, and with everything set, i'm looking for an artist that can make digital drawings ( anime style portraits ) of both me and my wife to use for our twitch and youtube accounts.

i'm hoping if anyone is interested in helping us out, it would be for free since we really can't afford paying a professional artist to make them for us.

i hope there's someone out here that can help us.

Here's a tip, if you want good quality art, you're gonna have to pay.
Art is a product, and you pay for products. You can't just walk into a store and demand a product for free. That's not how things work.
Art takes a lot of skill, effort, and time. Artists need to be compensated for this. Some of us only ever make money from our art; our art is our only source of income. Working for free or exposure doesn't play the bills, it doesn't bring us our next meal, and it sure as hell doesn't make up for any materials and time used.
There's many artists that offer cheap products. I think I even severely underprice my art. Also, you should be the one to look for an artist that meets your needs, fits in your price range, and has a style you enjoy. Otherwise, you'll just get a bunch of desperate amateur artists with little experience, especially if you want it for free.
Please respect all the hard work an artist puts into their work and pay for it. We're actual, living people, not just a piece of artwork.

@Epickeith .. wow, my post wasn't intended to offend you or any artists that do art for a living..
i have bills to pay as well, which i can't pay because i'm broke, and that is the reason why i cannot afford to pay a professional arsit. there are many things in life that can be paid for or can be free. you can buy oranges, or you can plant your own orange tree, you can play soccer on the street, or you can pay entry fee to a professional soccer field.
just like you can pay for an artist, or can have your art made by the "amatures" you mentionned, who sometimes happen to be extremely skilled yet doing art for fun instead of for a living.. and im sorry to say this but if you based your life's income on art and you're an artist for a living.. then you're pretty pathetic.. a failure trying to rage on other artists who are doing art in the correct way.. as a hobby, for the beauty of it instead of money...

thank you for your insight, i'm no longer interested in finding an artist on Dollars.. this group used to be full of bright-minded people.. it would seem it became a hotspot for toxicity..

Like, it is a hobby for me!! That's all it is. I'm in college for software engineering. I create art for myself, but if someone else wants me to create for them, they'll have to pay cause I'm a busy person and it's nice to have extra cash for textbooks and new clothes. If you can't afford to pay, then don't! Nobody is forcing you to get art. It's something you want. Wants are extra, so get your priorities straight and save up if you actually want it.

Also, your comparisons don't make sense. "You can buy oranges or plant your own orange tree". Don't you understand what you yourself are saying? You either pay someone else for their work (in your example, the person caring for the orange tree) or you do it yourself, not get someone else to do it for you for free.

It's really quite ironic how you shame artists for trying to make a living, yet expect art from them. It's not pathetic, it's trying to stay alive and get money for what you're good at and enjoy doing.

It's laughable that you think my comment was toxic. I wonder how you get by in the real world if me saying, "Hey, you gotta pay if you want an artist to draw for you" is toxic and offensive.

Heya, you're going to have a hard time finding an artist drawing good quality stuff for free. I'm serious. Online artists in particular have a history of being underpaid for their work- so these days the general attitude is different. You're a fully grown man, surely you have some money put aside if twitch is that important to you.

If you really have no money, then search for requests in journals or forums on deviantart. Just keep in mind if you don't pay for something, you're not going to get a high quality result. Not many people have an incentive to spend hours on something for nothing.

@spare, i understand that perfectly, i'm not necessarily hating on artists that get paid for their artwork, i just think it's optional, a luxury that i unfortunately cannot afford. and yes twitch is important to me but believe me i'm struggling to pay my bills, not to mention i don't even have a method to pay someone from another country.
i don't mind quality issues, i'm not paying so anything would be appreciated and i won't complain ^^
