I haven't seen anyone else really talk about this so i wanted to make a post about Gunpla or Gundam plastic models.

Gunpla are basically a rather cheap model kits of gundams ranging in quality. it is a rather fun way to past the time and rewarding to have a finished model that is movable by the end of it.

If anyone else builds gunpla I would love to chat with you on ideas .
Or if you're new and want to get into the hobby hit me up and i could recommend a few kits.

>>1 To be honest I think for this kind of thing we need a Art sub-board e,g "art/hobby craft" sub-board,

As for my self am more of a Warhammer 40k fan, painting them, and using them in battles in the game, but I would not count it as art, yes there "is an art" in painting them but I still wouldn't consider them as art that's my opinion.

fyi I do like some of the gundman anime. :D

i use to be a fan of Warhammer, but due to GWs bs with rules and prices i can't play TT any more, but i do play the Dawn of war games on the computer

It depends on the kit
there is a "scale" if you will for the quality of the kit.
it is something like no grade, first grade, high grade, master grade, real grade, and perfect grade.

HGs or high grades are very common and offer a great amount of detail for the price and product. but the higher you got the better it looks the more money you'd spend.

Scale also plays a part in detail and cost. most are 1/144 but they go up to 1/100 1/64 and i think there is a 1/48 for some. they are like 3 feet tall.

here is a HG i finished up not to long ago

as you can see it has a good amount of detail (and a nice weapon array for around $20.00 USD so about 11.00 pounds i think.

And i assume that the UK has amazon? there are many on there

>>6 yeah we do have Amazon, >>7 and there is a picture size limit, you may have to crop the picture make it smaller or even use a smaller file different will help a bit.

Are they already painted or do you have to paint them and dose that also depend on which ones you get still kind of curious :D

They are already painted. how ever it never hurts to paint over marks or add details. There are even special pens to help highlight armor plates and such.

I haven't painted mine, but i think it came out awesome. sorry i can't upload it. but this would be the model i am talking about.

but amazon would be your friend on finding a cheap sourse for the hobby
